Hey OP! I know this has already been filled, and I already have a prompt I'm working on, but I'd still love to try my hand at filling this! I have an idea going off yours as well, like maybe Real!Graves knew about sweet, gentle, kind Newt from Theseus (maybe even met him before at some point?) and upon returning to the real world after they catch Grindelwald, Percival notices Newt (who maybe he's in love with too) is always flinching away from him/avoiding him/and maybe when Percy tries to hug or has to touch Newt (nonsexually) for whatever reason and Newt very visibly flinches away from, maybe accidentally yelling out "Please don't hurt me again" from Grindelwald torturing Newt disguised as Graves? SORRY THIS IS REALLY LONG BUT THERE'S STILL MORE OOPS Or I was also thinking of combining thsi prompt with another one I saw about Newt being as nervous and timid as he was due to a bad past experience? I was thinking that maybe Newt had been raped and/or taken advantage of sexually in the past, prompting Theseus to be even more overprotective and Newt very unfomfortable with sex/relationships, but falls in love with Grindelgraves, thinking it's Real!Graves, and is then raped by him (Grindelgraves)? Later on he discovers that it was in fact Grindelwald and meets Real!Graves and is torn because on one hand, he still loves Graves, but on the other, the sight of Graves is triggering for him. They still end up in a relationship, Newt trying his best to help Graves despite his own anxiety, and eventually they try having sex but Newt gets triggered during it from Grindel!Graves rapung him and has a meltdown, leaving Graves feeling so terrible and guilty feeling, and looks in the mirror and hates himself cause Grindelwald raped Newt wearing his face, and with everyone still being skittish of him and Newt's anguish builds up which is how he ends up mutilating his own face, and it's Newt that finds him? There would be lots of angst, slightly less (but still a good amount of) h/c, and maybe a happy ending depending on where the fic goes. What do you think??
