Graves was raped ages before the movie. The man who did it is locked up. Grindelwald never raped Graves. He may have flirted with him, stroked his cheek, ran his fingers through Graves' hair and been very creepy, but he never raped him. However, after being arrested, Grindelwald is put in the same cell as Graves' rapist. Said rapist brags about how he was the first to show the Director what pain and fear are. Grindelwald slowly tortures his cellmate to death before escaping. When Graves finds out, he's not sure how he feels.
