That part was so emotional I needed a few deep breaths after reading it. I love how Percival was trying to control himself around Newt. It would be so /easy/ for him to later claim that he got caught in Newt's heat because he had been weakened too much by Grindelwald's torture. But no, everything Percival did was to try to ease Newt's pain in non-sexual way. Amazing.
I'm a little bit scared by that bit from Newt's POV, how Percival isn't his alpha. I read that wrong, didn't I? Was Newt just remembering a little how he never wanted to have an alpha?
Theseus was everything I could expect from pissed off older brother who thinks his best friend tricked his younger brother into forming a bond. I'm actually surprised Theseus didn't curse Percival after Newt stopped clinging to him, but I guess a punch was more satisfying. And I'm glad he let Percival explain himself.
