Original!Graves/Newt, Alpha/Beta/Omega dynamics

In a semi-reversal of the normal trophe - Newt is an Alpha. Original!Graves is an Omega.

Despite the fact that Percival Graves is descended from one of the Original Twelve, despite the fact that he was top of his class and scored full marks in all subjects, despite the fact that it was clear that he was an exceptionally talented wizard with a talent for wandless magic - despite all that, Original!Graves had to fight non-stop to gain even a *shred* of recognition. After all, he was an Omega - fit only to look pretty and serve as a broodmare. Even his parents thought as much... Graves has spent his entire life battling against the stereotype assigned to his gender; he's put up with sexual harassment (he gave the perpetrator a bloody nose), attempted non-consensual bonding (he put them in prison), scorn, condescension... But despite all this, he dragged himself to the top, to a position of genuine authority, and is fiercely independent.

After the whole GrindleGraves debacle (Grindlewald, an alpha, tried ordering him to obey - Graves laughed in his face and spat at his feet) Percival Graves meets Newt - the most unlikely alpha imaginable. He's almost tolerable, actually, and he looks cute when he smiles, and - wait. Why is he smiling like that?

Newt is ecstatic. Finally! After all this time! He knew the minute that he laid eyes on Graves that they were Meant To Be, they fit so perfectly together, their scents match, oh, this is wonderful, wonderful, and he can't help but explain this to Graves at a loud volume, and -

This is, of course, precisely the wrong thing to say to Percival Graves, who is liable to respond to Newt's babblings by taking to his heels at best (and obtaining a restraining order) and outright cursing him at worst. And if Newt ever learns anything about Percival's background, it's easy to understand why - Graves has had to put up with alphas trying to strip him of his authority, playing games with him, and even pulling the 'destined mates' card on him ever since Percival started gaining actual power.

If Newt ever wants to have anything with Percival Graves, it would be best to approach him as he would an abused animal - carefully. Slowly. With every possible precaution.

...when Graves goes into heat, the resulting sex is literally bed-breaking. Graves hasn't gone through a full-on heat since he was a child; he's been taking suppressants and the appropriate spells for his life, and - he can't help but hate himself when his body reacts so eagerly, so willingly, to Newt's touch. He's consented, he's given his permission, but somehow it seems like a betrayal of how fiercely he fought all those years to go unclaimed. Newt is caring and understanding, and the sex is soft and gentle - until it isn't, and the two of them go at each other like wild animals, Graves all but demanding to be knotted, and Newt more then willing to comply.
