Tina was originally hiding her omega status so she could be an auror but, rather than attacking Mary Lou, she used an omega’s shield to protect Credence. She ended up bonded to Picquery and barred from field work but Tina still desperately wanted to prove she’s capable hence her investigating Newt and following the Second Salemers.
