i love this prompt (would write it myself, sadly i don't have any time whatsoevee at the moment) so please somebody write this!! Imagine Newt trying really really hard to fight off the curse, and being even kinda hopeful for a second (because it can't be unheard of that people succeed in that) but then he fails, and has to wonder Why, wasn't he good enough? Didn't he love his creatures enough?
