Protective!Credence / possessive!Credence x Newt Scamander

Newt saw a wisp of the obscurial fly away at the scene, but he didn't see the said wisp following him onto the boat and sneaking into his pocket.
Credence doesn't know how to become corporeal again, and he is lost-so he stays with Newt without revealing himself, not sure what to do. He watches Newt from the shadows, learning magic in the process, reading books over Newts shoulder, and getting more and more jealous (that man is treating his animals better than mom has ever treated me or Modesty?) and possessive (because he is there when Newt is questioned about his involvement in obscurial case, and Newt does everything to protect Credence even though he doesn't know Credence is still alive).
At some point Newt realizes that Credence must be alive- and with him - because he feels the presence, he notices book pages turning on their own, Pickett being fussy, and food disappearing. But the last thing he wants to do is spook Credence again - so they slowly fall into a routine where Credence is still hiding but he knows Newt is aware of him.
Newt is trying to find the way to make Credence corporeal again, but nothing works, until one day...
Gridnewald escapes prison and seeks Newt out. They fight it out in an old London tunnel, Newt proving he is not a helpless snowflake and can duel just as good as any Auror, but still - he is no match for Grindewald and 5 of his accolytes. And when all seems to be lost, when Newt looks at Grindewald without fear, ready to accept his fate, the darkness behind him begins to swirl.
Newt watches in awe as Credence materializes out of the dark wisps- but he is not like Newt remembers- his hair is longer, he stands tall and straight and does not avert his eyes- and he looks very, VERY ANGRY.
Gridnewald practically drools at the sight, hellbent on seducing Credence to join "the dark side", but Credence just growls, "I don't think so" and
destroys everyone who threatened Newt with extreme prejudice. Grindewald manages to disapparate just in time to save himself from his head being ripped off.
Newt thanks Credence and tries to apologize for dragging him into this mess, but Credence just corners him into the brick wall and hisses, "I am not letting anyone hurt you EVER AGAIN".
He carries Newt back to their apartment and takes care of the wounds.
Newt, sorta high on medicinal herbs and adrenaline, can barely wrap his mind around Credence being corporeal, powerful as hell, and also very-very attractive.
Credence on the other hand is flustered because he finally got a chance to actually touch those 129 freckles on Newt's face he has counted so many times before. (there is another problem - now that he has finally touched them, he wants to taste them too...)
