If Newt was in the Pokemon world, I'm sure we can all agree he'd be campaigning to stop Slowpoke tail-cuttings and other nefarious activities there as well...And he'd be one of the first to sniff out the fishy smell coming off the Aether Foundation. Anybody up to writing a Pokemon!AU/crossover? I'd love to read about Newt's adventures with Pokemon. Even drabbles would be great, but come on, let's be honest here, no one would be surprised if Newt fights Team Rocket to keep them away from Celebi, for example. I bet the legendaries absolutely adore him, and people would be like, who's this kid that doesn't even have enough gym badges? Because Newt doesn't bother with the gyms or the Elite four, that's not his focus, and they underestimate him, but then his menagerie (6 on his team? More like 50) shows just how bad an idea it is to underestimate a precious cinnamon roll like Newt.
