Credence has the name 'Percival Graves' on his body somewhere and despite what his mother says, he knows that Graves is his soulmate. Then a handsome man turns up and calls himself Percival Graves and Credence is happy to do anything he wants (but is too shy to tell him about the soul name on him).

Cue events of the movie, massive betrayal etc etc.

Credence supposedly dies, Original Graves comes back and discovers the name of the Obscurial that was killed by Aurors. It's the name of his soulmate. Cue angst.

Then Newt turns up with his soulmate, alive and well, but does not trust Percival's face at all.
