Credence was always the poor weak one who needed his wounds healed and his pain soothed away, and Graves was always the one to provide it. But after the whole Grindelwald ordeal, it's Graves who is in the bad way, who needs comforting and taking care of and Credence is happy to give back. Not being the one in need of help this time does wonders for Credence's confidence and self-esteem.
