Seeing as we've reached 4,000 comments in Round 1, it's time to make a new one. Same (lack of) rules apply. Gentle reminder to everyone to refrain from posting extremely long prompts, though. While no word limit will be imposed, take note that it is very unlikely for someone to fulfill your prompt if your prompt alone is already several paragraphs long and containing a number of specifications.

Newt wasn't supposed to join his brother and his best friend in war but the all encompassing fear of loosing both makes ihm enlist in disguise.

Theseus and Graves find out the hard way when they locate Newt's body beneath a dying dragons wing after their squad saved by them.

Newt (and maybe Graves too) is an animagus. Optional bonus: If Graves is, then Newt figures out Grindelwald pretty early cause they know of each other, and Graves is acting like he has no idea.

Newt can't bring himself to eat any of the creature-shaped confections in Jacob's bakery.

because, honestly, I thought Queenie looked more like NEWT'S sister than Tina's so... Secret, Married Lesbians of the 1920's.

Maybe the wizarding world isn't quite so open to it as they like to pretend and it could effect Tina's career...

Maybe they have to hide it from Mrs. Esposito because a muggle tenement was all they could afford and they're just so used to hiding it from their neighbors that it never occurs to them to bring it up at work or with friends...

TLDR: they're married, not related, but they tell everyone they're sisters to keep suspicion off of them.

okay so y'all may know Colin, during the Golden Globe, seemed a bit grumpier than he normally does (at least that's what I thought, he smiled 3 times during the show and yes, I counted) . While Tom Hiddleston was coming to the stage to accept the award given to him, Colin texted somebody ;0 Idk why but I find this hilarious, he was so fed up with the whole thing and decided to text someone instead to entertain himself (or he was replying someone's text whatever)
So the prompt here:
I have this thought that, maybe he was texting Ezra?
Later that night I found out Ezra was in Japan. Hanging out, going shopping, sightseeing, bla bla...
And tadaaaa, what a coincidence :D
Me and my friends imagined Colin texting Ezra constantly with a crying emoticon at the end of every sentence. And while Ezra was having fun, Colin sufferred through every miserable minute of his life waiting for the young man to call him back. Poor Colin, he just wanted to get out of the place and go home, text the bae but the bae totally forgot about him ;)
Rating depends on the author ~ and I really want to see how they will talk to each other over any kind of video chat app that you know ;)

So my best friends' grandma told me this story once about how she met her husband. She said that he was her older brother's best friend. They'd basically all grown up together, though she was about 4 years younger. They would always tease her mercilessly. To her, she was just her older brother's annoying friend.

He was drafted in WWII as soon as he was old enough, so she didn't really see him after that. I’m pretty sure he sent her brother letters, and always had something for her in them, teasing her most likely, to keep her optimistic. But when he came back from the war, of course he was older and more mature. When they met again they both had a moment like “holy crap, they’re beautiful and amazing and kind.” They knew each other so well, but they both had a sudden realization that they were attracted to the other. Eventually, after some wooing, they started dating and then got married.

I'd love to see something like this with Newt and Graves. Except I suppose they both go to war (of course WWI). Maybe they even see each other again a few years into the war out in the theatre instead of back at home, and all of their soldier buddies are like, wait. That's you're best friend’s brother? But he's so hOT. Or they finally have a reunion after the war and they’re just so relieved to see each other.

This is inspired by the prompt few pages back asking for time travelling Harry being Graves.

I would like a fic where Graves dies and is reincarnated as Harry Potter (or any other HP character if you like)

newt somehow ends up working for/ hanging around macusa after the movie & he gets harassed by some aurors: they think he's totally weird & feel superior to him, because they're better educated than newt - since he was expelled from school and all. (but feel free to choose other reasons as well.)
newt is sort of used to it, so he doesn't do much about it. but his friends find out and get very angry and protective of him.

i'd love this to be all friendships, but i also really adore newt/original!graves...

Newt frequently has nightmares so bad, he wets himself. Graves finds out and doesn't exactly mind.

My first AND second-born to you if you incorporate Newt wearing diapers and Graves changing him.

While studying, my angstbunnies brought up the question whether it's canon for Percival Graves to have a family other than just the parents we know about. That brought me to him perhaps being married once to a colleague-Auror. They were a great duo on the working field, admired by many, but due to unfortunate events...Percy lost his wife (preferably death because that makes it extra tragic!). Many at MACUSA know about them, many also don't. Those who don't know Graves once was married only know her from a large memorial at the HQ or something. However, one day (perhaps the day he lost her), Graves appears more distant, silent and gloomy than usual. He refuses to talk other than calling it a bad morning, but Queenie sees more...

I'm a real weakling for Graves angst. The more details about his pain, thoughts, feelings, isolation, and how he covered up his grief by working even harder for MACUSA, burying his feelings in paperwork and red wine in the evening, the better! :D

For some reason (perhaps it's as part of a sting organized by Graves?) Newt ends up having to pretend to be a Dark Lord.

...he's surprisingly terrifying.

Tina, Queenie, and Graves *know* he's pretending, but they're still disturbed at just how /well/ Newt plays the role of Dark Wizard.

Let's have an AU where magic users are mutants instead - not in the "magic is a mutation" way, but in the "everyone has superpowers" way. Newt can talk to animals, Queenie's a telepath, etc. etc. Those two are the only ones I would personally LOVE to see, but anything else is fair game! Do as your heart desires! I'm just craving some 1920's superpowered action.

Is OP interested in a possible X-Men crossover/AU?

we know magic suppression can form an obscurus in children, but what about in adults who've previously been using it regularly? graves, after all, had been kept captive for who knows how long, but everyone seems to be agreeing on at least a month, and if grindelwald had any smarts he'd make sure graves had no way to get out, magically or otherwise, so graves' magic would definitely be on some kind of lockdown and he'd be unable to use it. I'm betting, once he's rescued, there's a lot of things randomly levitating, exploding and repairing themselves, etc. it gets worse when he's upset, whether he shows it or not, which makes his Stony Facade utterly useless, ugh

tl;dr: graves having to deal with the repercussions of forced magic suppression and having his magic cause outbursts either at random or when he's upset ;)

Newt fits the victim or unsub profile, so the Criminal Minds team takes him in.

Just want to see what the profilers make of Newt, and Newt just being really exasperated.

Bonus: Graves or Theseus is the Magic and No-Maj/Muggle enforcement liaison and has to come get Newt.

Bonus 2: CM team opens/goes down into Newt's suitcase and get a shocking introduction to magic.

Graves and Theseus both work with the local law enforcement. There's been a series of kidnappings and subsequent murders of young men happening lately. Aside from the fact that they have a serial killer running around their city, the whole case is making Graves and Theseus more uneasy than usual.

By the time their squad connects the dots and realises that all victims bear some resemblance to Theseus' younger brother Newt, it's almost too late.

Bonus: Tina, Queenie and Jacob all work on Graves' and Theseus' team.

I didn't realize I needed this until now.

Newt has been scoping out the location of a suspected animal trafficking ring for a few days, when he realises that he's being followed on his way home. In order to escape attention, he snatches the next best person by their coat, mutters a quick sorry and pulls them into a mindblowing kiss.

To his utter mortification that person turns out to be Director Graves, the man he has been silently pining for for months. Graves' after berating Newt for putting himself in needless danger, takes Newt home and proceeds to show him just how much that kiss was appreciated.

Bonus: Before the kiss Graves' was actually getting pretty desperate on when Newt finally got the clue that his feelings were reciprocated.

Okay this is all kinds of adorable

I haven't been able to get this out of my mind for days because of Eddie Redmayne's tall, slender body. I would like to see a story with Newt being a really capable fencer and his friends appreciating the eyecandy when they observe him dancing.
(Fencing to me can be likened to a dance sometimes....a beautiful but deadly dance.)

+ still takes place in the wizarding world.
++ maybe Theseus commenting on how he himself is more of a boxer.

Grindelwald has a personal vendetta against Theseus Scamander who has been a thorn in his side for years.

December 1927: Theseus receives a missive during an important meeting of british and american aurors that discusses Grindelwald's possible next movements. The only thing contained in the letter is a bloody lock of curly reddish brown hair.

Six months later Newt Scamander is officially declared dead.

June 1931: Percival Graves encounters a young no-maj artist in Paris who bears a striking semblance to his best friend's little brother. The young man doesn't recognise him at all.

Newt is the same adorable cinnamon roll we all know and love...that all changes when Percival finally gets him into bed.

Percival being shocked yet EXTREMELY TURNED ON by the whole thing
Tina and Queenie being awkwardly turned on yet somehow unsurprised by what they are accidentally hearing

This anon would love a fic where Graves leaves his very influential position of the Director of Magical Security to stay home with his kids, something that, no-matter how more progressive magical world is, still isn't very common. Some question Graves about this (if the mother has lower position). If he is with someone above him like Picquery, I would like it he decided to be stay at home because he wanted to, not because he was forced by circumstances.

Just give me Newt using utterly british words/slang that the americans have trouble understanding! It can be gen or newt/percival if you wanna take it in a more romantic direction ;)

Newt/Percival dated at one point in time and it didn't have a clean end. Now they're working on resolving those issues in order to move on. Even if they still have feelings for each other - it's not as if they have to mention that... until they end up having sex.

Does that reveal that both still have feelings for the other or does it just complicate the whole mess?
