ROUND 2

Seeing as we've reached 4,000 comments in Round 1, it's time to make a new one. Same (lack of) rules apply. Gentle reminder to everyone to refrain from posting extremely long prompts, though. While no word limit will be imposed, take note that it is very unlikely for someone to fulfill your prompt if your prompt alone is already several paragraphs long and containing a number of specifications.

-The prompt freeze is over! You may resume posting prompts. The next freeze is scheduled on February 8, 12:00 AM (PST) or if this round reaches 4,000 comments; whichever comes first.

"Twenty one, I think" dear Merlin, Newt, what happened to you?! He doesn't even know how old he is? I saw the tags of this story on AO3 and I have a feeling Grindelwald had a big part in making Newt as scared as he is now, but why Newt doesn't want MACUSA to know about him? Couldn't they help him?

After reading this chapter I am as shaken as Percival. It broke my heart to read about how Newt wanted to let Percival use him or hurt him - to do /everything/ Percival would want. That's just too sad. And what is going to happen when (if?) Newt gets to know that Percival worked for MACUSA?

I like how Percival is able to walk. It's saddening that he lost his leg, but I'm glad he's getting better, wanting to help his team.

You couldn't start this story better way, honestly. There is only one thing more I want to write out: could you try to use names of characters more? Like in this sentence: "He stepped back as the man's hands reached for his belt, the utter terror and misery on his face sickening.". I had to pause in that moment because for a second I wasn't sure who stepped back: Percival or Newt? I don't want to sound rude, sorry :(

Thank you ever so much for this lovely review! I promise what has happened will become clear. And thank you also for the comment about names - I worry sometimes that I use the names too much, so it's actually great to hear someone saying "no you should use it more" because I think that will help me to write better. Not rude at all :D

I get what you are saying, I was used to hear "use less of their names!" but when you read a book, not a fanfic, characters are usually called by their names and it makes reading more smooth. So use their names and do not worry ;)
