ROUND 2

Seeing as we've reached 4,000 comments in Round 1, it's time to make a new one. Same (lack of) rules apply. Gentle reminder to everyone to refrain from posting extremely long prompts, though. While no word limit will be imposed, take note that it is very unlikely for someone to fulfill your prompt if your prompt alone is already several paragraphs long and containing a number of specifications.

-The prompt freeze is over! You may resume posting prompts. The next freeze is scheduled on February 8, 12:00 AM (PST) or if this round reaches 4,000 comments; whichever comes first.
-Due to popular demand, we now have our first couple of rules!
RULE #1: No prompt must exceed 250 words. Any prompt that exceeds that WILL be screened.
RULE #2: Please state RPF in the subject line if your prompt involves real people.
RULE #3: No kinkshaming.

Percival Graves is from one of the most powerful and wealthy wizard families in America. He’s also used to getting his own way, and doesn’t ever admit defeat, which was demonstrated perfectly when he ended up proposing four times before his boyfriend Newt finally agreed to marry him. Everyone was surprised when the well known perfectionist and (sometimes) ruthless MACUSA agent Percival married the unknown and camera-shy British Newt Scamander, magizoolist and Hogwarts expel-ee. He wasn’t like Percival’s previous partners, but the wizarding press, and MACUSA soon fell for Newt’s genuine charm, manners and dimpled smile, even if they weren’t thrilled by Newt’s love of bizarre creatures. Their marriage is happy and perfect, and Newt brings out a softer side of his husband few besides family and close friends see. Newt is Percival’s life, and Percival doesn’t care who knows it.

So when Newt becomes sick, Percival decides this is just another thing they’ll win, so they fight, together, but then Newt’s disease becomes terminal. Newt is accepting, gracious in the face of death, but Percival is anything but. He’s won everything he’s ever wanted – he worked to win Newt’s love, worked to get him to marry him, worked for his place at MACUSA, worked to increase his family fortune and he’s sure as hell not going to lose the love of his life to some pathetic illness, but it isn’t made easy but the intrusive media who want to document Newt’s illness in painfully dramatic detail, Newt’s too intrusive family, their friends, medical consultants and even Newt himself, who seems prepared to die and insisting Percival a) accepts this and b) finds love again.

Well to hell with that. Percival fights for what he wants, and he’s going to fight to Newt even if Newt can’t or won’t fight for himself, Percival swears he’ll do anything to save Newt. Money, treatments, trials…nothing is impossible. Graves do NOT give up, ever it’s in their DNA, but this may be one battle that not even the great Percival Graves can win…
