...I suddenly had the mental image of Grindlewald accidentally putting Graves down in Night Vale. And Graves not batting an eye at these strangers who keep showing up out of nowhere and trying to kidnap him - stranger things happen in Night Vale on a regular basis.

...of course, Mr. Graves, who is currently running for the position of the Sheriff and head of the Sheriff's Secret Police, has no /time/ for this nonsense!

Now I'm thinking of a 5+1: 5 places Grindelwald could have stashed an amnesiac Graves. Night Vale, Sunnydale...

Like, at first Grindelwald tries to put Graves in an ordinary, boring, completely normal no-maj town, but Graves keeps realizing something is wrong and trying to figure out the answer.

Only when Grindelwald drops Graves in a completely weird and loony place does the amnesia-inducing spellwork actually stick.
