Credence finds Graves and keeps him

Post-movie, confused and injured Credence is wandering around when he comes across Graves (perhaps he was subconsciously looking for him), imprisoned and not in very good shape. But Credence doesn't know that he was dealing with Grindelwald past few weeks/months (maybe Graves doesn't even know him.)

All Credence knows is that Mr Graves betrayed him, but he still wants his friendship/affection (your choice if you want to make it shippy.) So he drags Graves with him to wathever he is going. Graves is not really in any shape to resist.

Maybe Macusa later learns that Credence has Graves, they think he was Grindelwald's co-conspirator and do everything to liberate their director. And Newt and Tina race against time to find Credence and Graves first.
