Graves/Newt (or Grindelwald/Newt?) - Viewfinder!AU, mob!AU

IDK how many of you are familiar with the Viewfinder manga, so here's a quick summary of it. Basically a young photographer tries to catch a wealthy business man (and suspected but unproven yakuza) in a shady business deal. The yakuza catches him at it and decides that he likes the photographer's spirit, so he starts up a very dub-con-y relationship with him. As one does.

The yakuza eventually becomes attached to the photographer for more than just his body, and moves the photographer in with him and assigns him a few guards (tbh, I'm not sure if that's actually canon or just a fan theory from fanfic). The photographer spends a lot of his time getting into trouble, likely because he intentionally loses his guards most of the time.

SO ON TO ACTUAL PROMPT. I'd love to see a crime boss / mafioso!Graves in a relationship with a animal rights activist!Newt (or something to that extent), who spends most of his time getting into trouble because he keeps trying to rescue the exotic animals on the black market.

Exasperated!Tina is in charge of Newt Duty, i.e., making sure Newt doesn't get killed, kidnapped, or beaten up. Her job would be a lot easier if Newt didn't magically disappear every 10 minutes. Also, it would help a LOT if Newt would remove himself from the general vicinity of 200 lb animals with claws the size of his head, thank you very much.

Newt doesn't really understand why everyone is suddenly so determined to tell him what to do, but like hell he's going to sit at home and make dinner for his mob boss lover (last time he tried he burned half the apartment down, so really it's for everyone's benefit that he not stay at home). He really doesn't get into that much trouble, honest!

Graves, meanwhile, gets a kick out of his lover's spirit. Up until his lover gets hurt. Then all hell breaks loose and Graves reminds everyone why he's the most feared mafia lord in America.

This anon has</> heard of the manga, but only seen some of it so any mention of it only brings to mind a certain scene with a film canister. So like all I can think about is what happens when Graves first caught Newt snooping around his dealings and I have always had a dirty mind.

Ignoring that, I am down for this 100 percent

Haha, nope! I'd say the whole thing deserves to be in italics anyway :)
My mind went right to wondering about that scene too so I guess I'm joining you with the dirty mind thing

Oh gods yes! I'm so happy to find other Viewfinder fans in this fandom. It's like we're coming out of the woodworks.
