Ace!Newt pref Gen, Ace ring

Okay so I know the timeline is NOT working with me here, but let's pretend it is:

Newt doesn't wear fancy stuff, its mainly about practicality. Which is why the fact that he always wears a black ring on his middle finger, always on the right hand is pretty weird. It doesn't seem useful for anything, and when someone finally asked if it was a wedding ring, newt blushes and denies.

So, no one really gets what's up. Newt doesn't wear jewelry because "its to dangerous with the creatures" but that the ring is an exception.

Then one day he loses it. Its just gone. Newt looks sad and lost and hurt, and when someone finally asks, its all newt can do not to break down.

Que explanations and cuddle piles and better, unlose-able rings.

+the niffler didn't take it bc they understand how important the ring was to newt
++it was as spinny ring (basing it off mine haha) that newt would mess with when he got nervous
+++the old ring was from theusus from when newt came out to him
++++the new ring also spins and has an engraving inside that says something lovely from all his friends.
