The Scamanders are descendants of gods-
that's only partly a lie- a few of them have robust strength, long life even for wizards, and then there is Newt.

Newt speaks Allspeak. He talks with animals, all animals.
He talks with everyone in their native tongue, tho always with his accent.

To him, this is just how it's always been. Snakes to birds, cats to dogs to mice to dung beetles... he speaks with them all.

Just- give me Newt chatting away with a cat or a baby, please.
