Credence- Warm Hugs

"Hello, I'm Credence and I like warm hugs."

It was cute when he was a child and sometimes a passerby would even stop to hug him (most wouldn't, everyone knows those dirty little urchins are all pickpockets).

Now it's kind of creepy. Those dead eyes, that monotone voice, the way his arms raised for a hug like his wrists were tied to lead weights. There's obviously something wrong with the boy.

"Hi, I'm Credence. I like warm hugs." He mumbles again raising his arms at the man approaching him.

"Do you really?" asks the man as though he's never heard anything so ridiculous and sweet in all his life.

And then Credence is swept up in a crushing hug. He melts into the touch knowing that sooner or later he'll lose it for good.

"Hello, Credence. My name is Percival Graves and I have been looking for you for a very long time."
