While Graves is being held captive by Grindelwald, both find out they're soulmates. Neither wants anything to do with the other. Until someone else kidnaps and tortures Graves. Then, of course, Grindelwald can't tolerate that.

Seconded! I'm all for Grindelwald snaring at Graves, saying that he doesn't need something like a soulmate, but when someone touches Graves, Grindelwald is ready to /fight/. I almost feel sorry for a person, who kidnapped Graves.
