I feel like he'd believe he'd be bad at it, but be determined to get it right, although he'd struggle because he didn't have good role models, he's a survivor and he'd end up being better at it than he believes he is. He has a lot of love to give. And Graves is there to help him.

Plus, I second, for some reason, loving putting him in this unfortunate position.
