AU where Grindelwald got rid of Graves some other way than kidnapping and torture. Maybe one day Graves woke up to find a winning lottery ticket ("Fuck it, this job doesn't pay nearly good enough to be worth it") or he sends him on a vacation (being director of security is really stressful) or someone lost a bet ("you won't be able to impersonate me for a minute, my department of crack aurors will spot you in a heartbeat" "you wanna bet on that?")
