Utterly brilliant.

...I'm even wondering whether Jeeves (like Mary Poppins) could possibly BE a wizard? Thus explaining his amazing abilities and his capacity to deal with any damn thing unflinchingly?

art Which begs the question: Hufflepuff, Slytherin or Ravenclaw? Given his defining traits are his loyalty to Bertie, his capacity to manipulate a situation in his favour, and the fact that he is the most intelligent among the cast.

Do we know what age Jeeves is? If he is too old to have been Newt's schoolfellow, he might have known Theseus there. It would make an interesting backstory, what motivated him to become a Muggle's gentleman. Unless the aunts hired Jeeves to watch out for the family Squib...

Oooooh maybe. Or maybe he was Muggle-born and society was rigid and unaccepting and he couldn't get the Ministry job he was more than qualified for?

I like the idea of Bertie as a squib too though ... maybe he wasn't trusted to know about the magical world because he's so chatty? oooh, maybe the multiple obliviates have scrambled his brain a bit so he's kind of daft? I must say that competent!Bertie is a huge kink of mine...

For House I'd have to say maybe Slytherin or Ravenclaw? He's a tricky one to sort for me...reading philosophy and manipulating Bertie and all his friends so that things turn out for the best...
