Graves/Credence, Rapunzel AU

There are countless fics where Credence grows out his hair after the events of fbawtft into Ezra Miller's glorious mane we all know and love. So yes give me long lustrous locks that perpetually shroud Credence in darkness even without the Obscurus present, give me a perpetually otherworldly Credence!

I have some ideas on how he could have ended up in the tower:
- Mary Lou knows Credence is an Obscurial so she keeps him away from society the way the Dumbledores hid Ariana.
OR
- Grindelwald using Credence's Obscurus as a weapon that he unleashes whenever he needs it, and when he has no use of Credence he just locks him up.

Bonus points for pain:
+ Credence has accepted the fact that he's a monster capable solely of destruction until Graves comes along who thinks he's beautiful
+ His captor cuts off his mane and leaves him with the fbawtft bowl cut when they find out about Graves
+ Later after he escapes, Credence discovers a heavily injured Graves (+++ if he's blinded somehow) and for the first time uses his magic to heal instead of destroy
