After years travelling alone to find his creatures, Newt's gotten pretty good at handling subdrop on his own. Sure, it isn't the most fun, but it's easier for him than trying to find a temporary dom who he can trust to put him under.

After the events of the movie, however, he's teetering on the edge of what is possibly the biggest drop he's ever faced (getting hit with the Cruciatus curse and watching Credence die, plus having to let go of his friendship with Jacob) He can hold himself together for the most part, as long as he doesn't have to interact with too many people (would really love Tina and Queenie helping him out in this regard, kinda forming a lil barrier between him and everyone else). Just when he thinks he's over the worst of it, they find out that the real Graves is still alive and has been found. Through some form of plot magic they end up face to face, and the moment Newt looks up at him he can't help seeing the face of the same man who cursed him and just immediately drops.

Graves is reasonably a little freaked out but also can't help reaching out to try and help Newt because he just somehow knows they're incredible compatible. Cue lots of inner turmoil for Newt who can feel it too but is still caught up in only knowing Grindel!graves. Graves takes care of him through the drop, even though it's hard on both of them (but oh so worth it in the end).

Preferably Graves helping him through the drop is just straight comfort and no smut, but I'm super open to smut after that.

Ignore all logic and imagine Grindelgraves needs Credence to distract Newt/give him the ammunition he needs to blackmail him,so he sends Newt to sleep with him.

This isn't exactly kinky, so I know it's out of place. I've been craving a gen. platonic story where Newt is attacked by scared and prejudiced no-maj's -- his wand destroyed and left utterly helpless to their wrath and scared mod mentality. Can include any sort of dark violence and brutality.

I'd love to see the aftermath of this as well, since Newt is already skittish and uncomfortable around humans as it is; how would being brutally attacked by them affect him?

I'd give anything to see this filled and would even be willing to commission someone to do so. I'd write it out myself, but I'm currently writing another story in another fandom with a friend.

Grindelwald is an underworld kingpin who grows fascinated with Newt after finding out he can smuggle just about anything in between countries. Newt is a biologist-turned-smuggler by circumstances. As soon as he finds out Grindelwald wants him to traffic drugs/weapons/women, he flees to the USA.

Young and demoted police officer Tina finds him. She's set on bringing him to justice, if only her boss, Captain Graves, would listen to her! But Captain Graves only cares about this kingpin who's apparently set his foot on american territory looking after some precious cargo.

If you find a way to fit Credence into this plot, I'd absolutely love ya.

So we know that Newt doesn't like eye contact, tends to avoid it if at all possible.

I imagine that Graves is the type of person that will stare you down - if you make eye contact, he will not look away until after you do.

So after they find the real Graves, Newt meets his eyes eventually. Of course he looks away. But he notices that this Graves' eyes are different, somehow, softer than Grindewald!Graves. And he wants to know what the difference is. So he keeps trying to look at Graves' eyes. Cue awkward staring competitions that seriously confuse Tina. Of course they don't ever talk about it out loud, though they do talk about other things as they get to know each other, and eventually their relationship changes.

It's not that no one noticed that there's something wrong with Graves, it's just that Grindelwald is a better boss/coworker, than the original one.

MACUSA busts a particularly nasty magical human trafficking ring but are only able to rescue one captive: one skittish, traumatized Newt Scamander. Years ago, Newt went missing on his travels and was presumed dead. Turns out, all this time he was kept as a slave by various unscrupulous witches and wizards who deal in that sort of trade. Graves, Tina et al take care of him and try to rehabilitate him. No Newt/Credence please.

Some ideas:
- At first, Newt absolutely will not speak, keeps his head down and cannot look anyone in the eye, flinches away from any sudden movement in his direction.
- He's mentally broken to the point that he automatically views his rescuer(s) as his "new master(s)" despite their protests to the contrary.
- Somehow, someone discovers that he's soothed by being around animals.
- Lots of scars from the frequent beatings and abuse heaped on him as a slave, including permanent marks on his wrists/neck from being chained for long periods of time. Maybe even a magical slave brand, similar to the Dark Mark?
- Credence was a younger slave (and possibly still an Obscurial) who Newt tried to protect, though his ability to do so was limited. They were separated before the MACUSA raid and Newt's still worried about him.
- When word gets out that Newt is alive after all, Theseus shows up out of nowhere demanding to see his little brother. He's horrified to discover that Newt no longer recognizes him... Newt doesn't remember his life before slavery very well.

There's a rumor that Obscuri are so powerful they can even do what no living wizard can: bring the dead back to life. Grindelwald wanted an obscurus to help take over the world. But he also wanted to bring Ariana back from the dead in the hopes of getting Albus to forgive him.

I need Newt meeting a young Rubeus Hagrid and, sensing a kindred spirit, mentoring him in his love for magical creatures. Perhaps Hagrid becomes his assistant for a while, or Newt comforts him after he, too, is expelled from Hogwarts for supposedly letting a dangerous creature loose. Bonus for Newt being fascinated with Hagrid, a half-giant, in his own right.

Something happens at MACUSA and, for whatever reason, Tina is sent to Graves' home in the middle of the night to wake him up and tell him they need him. He's asleep when she knocks on his door, so he ends up answering the door without a shirt on.

During the Great War Newt was a non-combatant, focused on helping the injured and all the other deeply necessary non-violent stuff. But his fiance, Leta, was an auror and damned determined to prove she wasn't the sort of monster people expected her family to be.

To Leta, with her Slytherin ambition, recognition as a hero - not a villain - was something worth dying for.
To Newt, with his ex-Hufflepuff loyalty, choosing to make a suicidal charge at the enemy when you had loved ones waiting for you to come home - who begged you not to do anything dangerously heroic - was unthinkable. But it's hard to hate someone when you can understand how deeply important it was to them, even if it hurts to know that you ranked less important than that.

The scenario's up to you, whether it's him singing a lullaby to a beast, playing piano at a friend's wedding, a karaoke curse, whatever you want, as long as it involves Newt being surprisingly smooth. Bonus points if he doesn't even realize he's done something to drive everyone crazy. Extra bonus points if a listener finds him so sexy they take him right to bed afterwards.
