One way or another Grindelwald finds out about Graves's kinks and makes good use of that knowledge during his captivity.

The entire Wizengamot and most of MACUSA finds out that Grindelwald raped Graves when, during a trial, a criminal calls Graves Grindelwald's bitch.

After the /real/ Graves is found and rescued, he's basically adopted by the Goldstein sisters, who are perfectly willing to go mama!bear protective on his behalf.

Percival Graves, an orphan, last of his line, Head Auror and Director of Magical Security, finds himself with a pair of sisters who will go to bat for him. Said sisters, in turn, are greatly enjoying having an older brother of their very own - one who is just as protective of them in turn.

Bonus:
+ Graves gives the shovel talk to everyone who even looks as if they're having non-innocent thoughts about his /sisters/. (Queenie is appreciative).

++ Graves doesn't give the shovel talk to Jacob, because he can obviously see that this man is a genuinely Good Man who is genuinely in love with Queenie - and Queenie loves him too. He's actually very supportive of their relationship.

He really isn't. But after he was promoted to Director of Magical Law Enforcement, he thought that he should act with the dignity and decorum his station necessitated.

Post-Grindlewald (and post-rescue) he decides that obviously /that/ hadn't worked out. So he decides instead to fall back on what he /knows/ works.

Percival Graves' real attitude towards the Law and Doing His Goddamn Job is disturbingly reminiscent of that of Sir His Grace Sam Vimes.

Just - give me Vimes!style Graves, please?

+ Tina is /immediately/ promoted to his second in command, because apparently she's the only Auror in the entire goddamn /department/ who can tell the difference between the law and the Law. And yes, there is a difference, and it's called not letting someone abuse a child in front of you, YOU FUCKING IDIOTS HOW COULD YOU THINK THAT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO?!

so body swap theyre wizards (or jacob) so it isnt really a surprise, well, you know. only, whoever gets newt's body (i dont mind if its the whole group get body swapped or just newt and one other) but they have questions. i just want angst, or hurt/comfort. so like, newt has scars from his animals, and others that he doesnt talk about, or maybe he's trans and he comes out to them because he knows they'll realise it from in his body. whatever you think would work.

Newt returns to NY to see Tina because it's taking him longer than he'd like to get his book finished. He takes a copy of the manuscript with him and by some accident it gets put in the intra/inter-deparmental files bin. So it gets found by some other MACUSA worker. Obvs. it has Newt's name all over so no one's going to steal it, but they can help reading it and scribbling notes into the margins (ala Harry & Ron in the original FBAWTFT book JKR published) and passing it along.

Do Tina's colleagues comment on her boyfriend's disturbing idea of "harmless"? Does it get as far as Real!Graves or Picquery? What does Abernathy think about some of the stranger advice? Do any employees have experience with the creatures Newt's describing?

- 7th year Percival is able to convince shy 6th year Newt to go out with him, and they soon become Hogwarts cutest couple.
- Cue crazy Graves/Newt shipping Hogwarts fan girls from all houses. If you insult the lovers… then may fate have mercy on you, they will defend their ship till the day they die.
- Creeper Theseus, he follows the couple everywhere, Its not that he doesn’t trust Percival… but thats his baby brother damn it!!!!
-Tina just wonders why of all people… Theseus had to drag HER into her best friends love life.

Percival keeps getting the feeling that they are being watched…

Due to some malicious curse, one of the two becomes trapped in the darker reaches of their own psyche. The other has to enter their mind to find and rescue them, facing down their bad memories and inner demons in the process. Psychic hurt/comfort ensues.

I'd prefer this with Newt/Creedence or Newt & Creedence, with Creedence as the rescuer, but if a potential filler has an idea involving different characters, go for it! (It occurs to me that Queenie's talents would be perfect for this.) The only thing I ask is not too much focus on Graves. Nothing against him, but there are lots of good Graves prompts already and I'd like to see someone else in the spotlight.

In a non-Grindelwald version of events, Newt comes to New York. While there, he crosses paths with Gnarlack and finds himself in a bad situation - Gnarlack realises that Newt is willing to do anything to protect his illegal creatures. The goblin proceeds to steal the case and use it to blackmail Newt into having sex with various people (clients, VIPS, etc).

He likes having a pretty English pureblood wizard whoring himself out at Gnarlack's command.

The twist being that this was actually Newt's plan all along and he saw it as the best way to get all the info on Gnarlack's creature smuggling activities so he can bring them down and save the animals.

Graves comes across Newt while investigating Gnarlack (bonus points if Gnarlack tries to sweeten Graves to leave him alone by offering him Newt's services) and quickly shuts the whole thing down. He really didn't expect to meet Theseus's little brother in these circumstances.

Extra bonus points:
- Newt is traumatised as fuck, but can't admit or deal with it because he thinks he was in control of the situation
- Newt justifying all the sex through his biological framing, as a natural act that doesn't have to be connected to emotions (ha, keep telling yourself that Newt)
- Newt having scars from run ins with various beasts over the years and them making Graves uncomfortable
- Graves being 100% out of his emotional depth but trying to help Newt anyway

tl:dr Newt has lots dodgy sex to try and save some creatures, and Graves saves him (mostly from himself).

Gay marriage is accepted among wizards, and in the US it's commonplace for Muggle-born children to be taken from their families, who are Obliviated, and given to wizarding foster-families. Newt and Graves have been married a while before Graves got replaced by Grindlewald while Newt was in the field, and were discussing children. Modesty's whole family has imploded and she needs a new home. It seems only logical. It's rather more troubling under the circumstances, especially given Modesty's treatment with the Second Salemers and lingering distrust of magic.
Bonus points for:
- Alive!Credence panics when he hears Graves has her and launches a rescue mission, needing to have the switch explained to him.

What Real!Graves thinks - or soliloquises - while he is Grindelwald's prisoner. Could be dark and mind-fuckery-ish, could be pure cracky humour. OP happy either way.

Newt meets the cats aka Luna, Artemis, and Diana.

Picquery invited Newt back to New York for an undercover operation of a group of illegal magical creature smugglers. Newt, as an expert magizoologist and mother of misunderstood creatures, was more than happy to help, but one thing he did not know until the operation began was that they wanted HIM to go undercover.... and as a prostitute. Newt, the socially awkward, shy, non-expert at human interactions.

Meanwhile, Percival, who had been rescued and treated in MACUSA's medical ward after the whole Grindelwald mishap, got discharged and finally allowed to drink. Percival directly heads to his favorite bar, that dinge little bar always crowded with criminals, because he really could use some drinks after the embarrassing event, and he loves keeping his eye on soon-to-be-jailed friends in his spare time.

Then, Percival sees this young man (He never met Newt and does not know his face.) awkwardly standing at the corner of the bar dressed like a hooker giving shy glances to people, and why is he blushing so hard and avoiding eye contacts whenever people say something to him or checking him out because isn't that what he is looking for?

So Percival thinks this guy was coerced into this or desperately in need of money, so, naturally, as a law abiding citizen, he tries to talk him out of it giving him life advice, etc. Newt knowing who this guy is (at least his face) is super confused because Graves is a very important person in MACUSA and surely knows this operation, and politely asks Percival to leave him alone because this is very important to him, and the whole misunderstanding and miscommunication ensues from there.

+Bonus point: Percival may have visited the bar every day to make sure Newt is not in trouble and may have punched a few drunken guys in the face because they may have given Newt dirty looks.

TL;DR Newt goes undercover as a prostitute, and Percival (who had never met Newt before) tries to convince him to make right life decisions and punches a few drunken guys in the way

Credence is able to...reconstitute himself, but his fear of being found and caught subconciously causes his magic to turn him into a small black cat instead of a man. Newt finds him, and adopts the cat

Basically the answer to Graves' tick up the ass behavior is alcohol to loosen him up. So everyone just keeps on handing him firewhisky. Shot after shot after shot. And that's when everyone discovers that Graves is a horny drunk. If it's warm and it moves? Graves will tap that!
