They return to New York after a few years, visit MACUSA and Graves has a love at not-quite-first sight moment. Kinda like Nanny McPhee where Evangeline the chambermaid is transformed into such a lovely lady that Colin Firth realises he loves her? A bit like that, maybe. Bonus points for long hair + stylish Credence a la Leon Dupuis and Credence still crushing on Graves despite the years apart.

Okay but we need an AU fic where Graves and Newt are married. Except no one at MACUSA believes that Graves is married because they have never met him.

Maybe Newt has been traveling around the world doing research for his book and helping creatures and everyone thinks it's an excuse and Newt doesn't exist and the more Graves talks about Newt the more they believe he doesn't exist...like,

-'His name is is Newt.' 'Okay, come on Newt isn't a real name!'

- 'A magic case full of creatures? You certainly have an imagination, Mr. Graves.'

- 'He keeps a bowtruckle in his pocket.' 'Why would he do that?' 'He has attachment issues.' 'Wait, him or the bowtruckle?'


And then finally Newt shows up and everyone is shocked because he does exist.

Can be a 5+1 story like 5 times no one believed that Graves had a husband and the one time Graves' husband showed up looking for him and caused all kinds of chaos.

TLDR: Graves and Newt are married, but no one has met Newt. Everyone thinks Graves is making up a fake husband. It turns out that Graves' fake husband is very very real and everything Graves said about him was true.

Culminating with Graves unexpectedly and helplessly ending up on the end of a targeted seduction by someone who turns out to know exactly what he wants and how to get it, or maybe just getting quite the sudden surprise their first time. I can't decide which to ask for.

Graves had been watching over Credence before Grindelwald supplanted him. During the big showdown, Graves manages to escape his prison and, despite being badly wounded, apparates to the scene.

Just in time to throw up shields to protect Credence from the aurors' attempts to kill him.

No-Angst Option:
The shield works. Credence survives, Grindelwald is defeated, and Credence gets to experience what it's like to have the real Graves fighting in his corner.

Angst Option:
Graves is weakened by torture and wandless, so while he's able to shield Credence the strain of it kills him. Credence survives, Grindelwald is defeated, but Credence will never truly know the man who gave everything to protect him.

MACUSA Breeding Program

Prompt:Ever since Salem, the American wizarding population has been dangerously low. So MACUSA implements a breeding program. As a powerful wizard with excellent magic genes, Graves is a top stud. It’s his civic duty to impregnate as many bitches as he can, and he does so with pride & enthusiasm. The fertile broodmares are strapped onto breeding benches in optimal position for him to mount and pump full of his seed.

Author’s choice if the people being impregnated are dubcon or noncon, female or male. If mpreg, could be because of magical modification, ABO, or just handwave it - up to you.

As a [friend/lover] of his brother's - and sort of a [lover/friend] of his - Percival Graves uses notebooks with protein charms to write back and forther across the ocean with his dear Scamanders. But the last message sent from Graves' book read simply "HELP GRIND" and was followed by a disturbing smudge.

Theseus is unable to launch an investigation/tried but "Percival Graves" officially went on record saying that a friend's child got their hands on the book and it's totally nothign to worry about. Theseus' hands are tied.

So it's up to Newt. Which is why Newt gets off a boat in NY with a case full of creatures who have all been briefed on one desperately important mission: Find out what happened to the REAL Percival Graves. And with that he opens his case.
