Newt/Percival/Credence: Newt notices how bad off Percival is and takes matters into his own hands

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
Percival is found and he physically recognized recovers from his ordeal and goes back to work. However people are wary of him and many whisper behind his back and treat him coldly. Percival puts up a front of indifference but he's hurting bad and the isolation just adds to his despair. This goes on for months with Tina and Queenie trying to be there for Percival because t he keeps shutting them out. Then Newt returns with his book for Tina and upon meeting the real Percival he immediately knows something is very wrong with the man. On one occasion Newt witnesses how badly people are treating Percival and decides to do something about it. Imagine Percival's shock when one evening after a particularly bad day there's a knock at his door and Newt is on the other side with his case of magical creatures. Newt barges in and bluntly tells Percival that he's staying with him and then promptly sets up house with his case in a corner. He then all but drags a stunned Percival down into the case and introduces him to the rest of the family which to Percival's great shock includes a recovering Credence. Slowly but surely Percival starts to heal with Newt and Credence at his side and they all get together. Newt also makes a show of bringing Percival lunch everyday and rubbing it in people's faces how happy Percival makes him. And when Credence is pardoned for what the obscurial did, he joins Newt in making everyone know I st what idiots they are for ever shunning Percival.

1776 AU

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
In honour of this meme hitting 1776 comments, let's have a 1776-esque AU. Mostly because I want to see real!Graves singing about wanting independancy. Or, I suppose, GrindelGraves singing about wanting to stop hiding. Or something.

Re: 1776 AU

"I have come to the conclusion that one useless man is called a muggle. That two are called professors. And that three or more become MACUSA! And by Merlin, I have had MACUSA. For hundreds of years muggles and their bloody governments have gaoled, cullied, and diddled wizardkind with their crimes against us! Witch hunts. King James's Daemononlogie. Salem! And still, this MACUSA won't grant any of my proposals on ruling mankind, even so much as the courtesy of open magic use!

MERLIN'S BEARD! What in hell are they waiting for!?"

"Sit dooooooooooooown, Graves! Sit dooooooooooown, Graves! For Merlin, Graves, SIT DOWN!"

"Someone needs to keep the magic hidden!"

"It's already the 20s, have mercy, Graves, please, and for Merlin, Graves SIT DOWN."

"Someone needs to keep the magic hidden!"

"Yes yes yes, awaaaay from the no-maj, awaaaay from the no-maj - but it's hard as hell in New York City now!"

"I say vooooote yes! Voooooooote yes! Vote for magic and wizardryyyyyyyyy. I say vooooooote yes!"

"Sit down! Graves!"

"Vote for magic and wizardryyyyyyy!"

"Can't we compromise here?"

"Vooooooooote yes!"

"No, never no-maj here!"

"Vooooooooote yes!"

"Oh for Merlin's sake, Graves, SIT DOWN!"

I know 1776 way too well.
... I'll see myself out.

Bamf!RealGraves and not-a-helpless-snowflake!Newt, Graves/Newt

[personal profile] missisjoker 2016-12-07 06:50 am (UTC)(link)
Real!Graves is alive and returns to duty shortly after Newt's departure for England. At some point, he uncovers magical creatures smuggling net with Grindewald's acolites and requests Scamander's assistance. The bust goes well until Newt is wounded by a dark wizard (to Newt's defense, he was simply distracted by trying to help a magic animal). Graves intervenes and saves the day, effortlessly busting the whole crew of smugglers, and carries Newt to safety. Newt asks if he can continue working on the case- after all, most of the animals have not been recovered yet- and Graves agrees, under one condition- Newt is to train with him on defense techniques, because he is not having a civilian killed on his watch. So they begin their training, and Graves gets more and more flustered with his trainee - to a point of not being able to form a coherent thought while watching Newt practice - which confuses him even more- conventional hookups-sure, bootycalls-of course, but crushing on a freckled ball of awkward? He is not some goddamn teenager!
So when Newt's brother comes to visit, Percival unleashes the full force of his frustration - and Theseus just smiles, " Please, Percy. He might not be up to par when he is distracted by his animals, but a bad duelist? He's been beating me since he was 12 - even our war bootcamp." Graves is shocked and tries to unravel the mystery as to why the hell Newt just spent two months training with him? But his investigation is cut short by dark wizards trying to break Grindewald out of the prison...
He, Theseus and Tina are pinned down by fire- when someone enters the fight and makes the wizards run. Graves is awestruck when he realizes that it is Newt.
Slowburn, mutual pining, awkwardness, but more importantly- bamf!Graves and equally bamf!Newt (cause he may be fluffy, but you don't piss off a Hufflepuff and live to tell the tale)

Graves/Newt, protective!everyone, bamf!Newt, dragons

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
Newt is Britain's best kept secret of WW I. Even his brother Theseus believes that Newt simply was in a work-related accident that very nearly killed him, not that he is the unspeakable that saved a lot of lives with dragons no less. So it's understandable when british and american aurors, Theseus, Graves and Tina included, are in a tight spot against Grindelwald's forces and suddenly Theseus' precious little brother enters the scene saving everyone again.

Bonus for Newt still being his shy, awkward self.
Double Bonus for Theseus begging Graves to keep an eye on Newt when they have to leave on seperate missions because he still remembers in vivid detail how close to death he came the last time.
Triple bonus for Newt being an animagus...a tiny owl that's so unassuming that noone thinks it could be a threat. That's one reason he becomes one of the scouts for missions.

Real!Graves/Newt, Do you love me?

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
So Newt and Percival have been in an arranged marriage for several years now and they like each other well enough but neither believed love to be a within the realm of possibility for their relationship.

One day Pecival sees something while he's at work that puts the idea in his head and he just can't get it out. Can't stop hoping that maybe love can be a part of his marriage.

Percival starts asking Newt if Newt oves him. Newt just thinks he's being weird and without really answering the question keeps blowing him off.

Only.... Now Newt is thinking about it and, well, if Percival is asking there has to be a reason... Right?

Tl:DR: I watched fiddler on the roof again and now I want Arranged Marriage!Percy and Newt slowly realizing they're in love with each other after years of thinking it all a marriage of convenience.

Graves is almost out the door when he hears Newt's footsteps running down the stairs. "Percival? Are you leaving already?"

"Yes. The President has called for a meeting about the World Cup and I'm supposed to present the proposal for security measures." Graves replies, shrugging on his coat. "Is there something you'd like me to pick up for you?"

Newt nods, pulling out a list from his vest pocket. "If you could pick these up for me, that will be most helpful. One of the Squid has contracted a nasty cold and I have to keep watch." Graves pulls a face that makes Newt laugh, patting him on his arm. "Have a good day at work." He smiles.

"Try to remember to eat at some point today. And keep that damn Niffler of my study, unless you want to spoil your Christmas surprise." Graves replies with the beginnings of his replying smile before he Disapparates into an alleyway near the Woolworth Building.

***

They had met for the first time under a canopy of summer flowers on a sweltering August afternoon. His family had attended in their full finery unsuitable for a wedding this simple, while Newt's had tried their best to remain stoic faced, failing at the sight of him walking down the aisle. Graves had been nervous that last week leading up to the big day; no one had asked him what he wanted for the ceremony or the reception after, his mother and cousins had taken over liaising with Newt's family about it, leaving it till that last bubble of time before inquiring whether he would like a black with yellow stripes tie or a midnight blue bow tie to match his suit.

Newt's hand in his at their first meeting had been shaking, unnaturally chilled. It wasn't till later that he learnt about how Newt had been in his suitcase up to the last minute tending to his creatures before his brother had to tear him out by his collar. Newt wouldn't look him in the eye when they exchanged vows, would not meet his gaze when their hands were sealed in their binding spells. They skip the customary kiss. But when he had finally gotten him alone, right before they had to leave the small room they had found refuge in for an agonising hour for pictures, he had assured his new husband that he is no monster and he won't ask for things Newt cannot provide.

After that, Newt had relaxed a little more by his side, going as far as to smile at him before he went to sleep on their marital bed while Graves took the sofa.

***

"... and here, here, and here." Graves signs each form with a flourish. He dismisses his personal secretary, but not before he tells her that he will be taking his lunch now. Making his quick escape before anyone could wave fresh documents (from hell) in his face, Graves definitely does not run and seek refuge in a little No-Maj cafe two blocks away.

"Coffee, black and a short stack." The waitress, Millie, says with a smile when he takes his usual seat. Graves pays her a smile of his own. He likes this place, likes the way everything from the fixtures to the faces of the patrons sit a little worn and hewn. It feels a lot more real than the varnished aesthetics that the Wizarding versions favour. Graves appreciates the feeling he gets here of how he can be just another regular customer, someone who does not have all those responsibilities he has, someone who has his order before he can even ask for it.

His coffee arrives and he curls his palms around it, savouring the heat. Graves picks his cup up, ready to drink before he sees them.

The husband is leaning heavily on his cane, listing to one side. But the wife is supporting him there, a smile on her face as she guides him into the cafe. Graves sees Millie take them to a seat by the window just in his line of sight. The wife seats her husband first before she takes hers, all the while holding his hand. The husband is jittery, shaking in the way that old people do when they have lost control of their bodies but not of their mind. There is a furrow in his brow that his wife notices, leaning over to kiss it away. And the moment she does that, his entire countenance changes. He smiles, lifting her hand in his to kiss. She laughs, the sound silent in the quiet din of the cafe, but Graves imagines that it must sound beautiful.

"Who are they?" He asks when Millie comes to bring him his short stack. "That couple by the window?"

"Oh, them? Mr and Mrs Carter, they are. Sweet as honey those two. Told me that they've been married 59 years next week and apparently they'd rented out the ballroom at the Waldorf-Astoria for the celebration! All their kids, their kids and some of their kid's kids are coming from all over for the do. When I asked her how they did it, she told me that the key is to constantly learn something new about your partner. They were an arranged marriage, you see? Didn't meet until the day of their wedding, but he told me that he fell in love the first time he saw her." Leaning in conspiratorially, she whispers, "The Mrs also told me that he was a bit of a Casanova back in the day, and then told me she's inviting all of his former lady friends just to rub it in their faces that she got the man and not them. Personally, I think she's just fibbing about rubbing it in their faces. People like her are too happy to care what others may think about them, and that is what makes it annoying. They do it without thinking." Millie steps away with a shrug.

Graves shakes his head, grinning all the same as he cuts into his food. Millie leaves, but he sneaks quick looks their way as he eats. Watching the way she wipes away the drool on the corner of the husband's mouth, cutting up his food for him, feeding him. Something unsettling creeps into him then, wrapping around his chest like a hollow grip. Graves rubs his thumb over his wedding band, one he has not taken off since the day it was slipped on three years ago, and cannot help but to wonder.

***

Newt, of course, does not notice his strange mood when he returns home. The squid has a cold after all.

He had knocked on the door to the room they had converted for the habitats, presenting the items on Newt's list, be on the receiving end of a wide smile before the door is shut in his face. Swallowing and folding his hands behind him, Graves goes to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

The calendar Newt keeps by the door, at his insistence after he discovered in the early days just how often his new husband would disappear for days and weeks on end to 'rescue and rehabilitate' those 'poor, poor creatures but Graves I could let those poachers get away with those eggs even though I knew it would harm me'. For his own sanity, he had begged. And Newt does a pretty good job of marking down where he is going, and for how long he will be gone. Graves runs his thumb over a marking for a trip two months ago when he had returned with fresh wounds and more Occamy eggs, promptly keeling over the moment he stepped through the front door. Graves had felt a sort of utter helplessness then, something like how he feels now. Except now, he can probably put a name to that emotion. And, as much as the thought alone scares him, how he is hoping that it could happen in his marriage.

It takes a full week for the squid to be well enough, and another two days before Newt notices the strange mood.

"What's gotten into you?" He asks, squinting his eyes. It is a rare Saturday afternoon where both of them are sitting by the fire; Graves with a half-read book on his lap and his eyes on the grey skies outside, while Newt has the Bowtruckle perched on his head and Dougal, the Demiguise, on his lap. He isn't wearing his wedding ring, but he never does inside their home. "You seem... Very far away."

Graves has an apology on his tongue that he bites back, choosing to set the book aside. Taking Newt's free hand in his, he clears his throat. Graves wants to ask him if he had ever wanted more, if he had ever thought they could have more. He wants to ask Newt whether the idea of having a marriage filled with love, romantic love, was possible enough that it outweighed the risk of losing whatever comfortable medium they had landed since that day they exchanged vows that bound them to each other. But what comes out is, "Do you love me?"

Newt's eyes grow big, a high flush on his cheeks. He pulls his hand away. "What? Do you mean like other people? Like, other married people? Love you? This is sudden. Um. I-I mean, I find you likeable? What we have works and I don't... Percival, why are you asking me this?" He gets up and paces to the other side of the room. Graves folds his hands together on his lap.

"I saw a couple the other day. Married 59 years. Arranged, like we were. They looked so happy together and I just thought. Well, I thought why couldn't we have that?"

Newt wrings his hands. The way he does when he is nervous. He tilts his face away from Graves, and it curls something painful and unpleasant in him to recognise that as Newt being uncomfortable with his presence in the room. "But what we have is good. What we have is great, Percival. You promised me you wouldn't ask me for something I cannot give. Remember?"

Graves closes his eyes, turning his face away. "I remember." Reining himself in, he stands, abandoning his book. "I'm sorry I asked. Please forgive me and forget I ever brought this up." He leaves the room, not quite running to the privacy of his study.

***

He tries to patch things up in the intervening weeks. Graves leaves baskets of supplies for the creatures at the door of his room. He makes sure that there is also enough food for Newt every morning before he leaves the house. Quite unable to tamp down the bittersweet swell of satisfaction when he sees that the creatures are getting their meals and so is their human.

Graves works it out so that he leaves their house early enough that Newt isn't awake, and then late enough that he is asleep. It goes on to the point that his personal secretary tells him that there is nothing for him to sign or approve or to discuss, and makes him dismiss their entire department early so that they may all enjoy their long weekend ahead. Blinking owlishly, he thanks her, does as she says but stays there in his office until dinner before he makes his way home.

The house lights up when he steps in. Hanging his coat and scarf, he yawns a little, intending to skip dinner all together and to handle a bath after he has had a nap. Graves is two steps up the stairs when the front door burst open with such alarm, that Graves instinctively reaches for his wand.

"Oh, good! You're home." Newt says breathlessly. His blue coat is buttoned up wrong, and his collar is half upturned as if he has swept out the door in a hurry. Graves settles his heart, stowing away his wand before coming down.

"Is everything all right?" Graves ask, eyes running over Newt to assess for any injuries. Curiously, he is wearing his wedding ring, though Graves reasons that it is possible that he wears it out of habit when leaving the house. That calendar entry hasn't changed on his next trip two months from now, and he is sure he has left enough supplies the last time round. "Newt?"

Newt is flushed, panting like he has exerted himself. His eyes are bright, almost feverish. Graves is about to call for a doctor when Newt wraps his hand around his wrist, holding on tight. "I-I've done a bit of thinking. And I think. I mean, I know. I think I know that I don't like what we had."

Graves feels the pain of a lightening bolt spear his chest. He begins to draw away, when Newt tightens his hold.

"Oh, Merlin! I'm not getting this right!" He frowns, the beginnings of an upset turning the corners of his mouth a thin line. Graves moves his wrist, going to hold Newt's hand the way he has been taught to.

"It's okay. It's alright, just breathe Newt. I just need you to breathe." He says, taking and flicking his wand to summon Calming Draught from the kitchen. Newt stops him before he can uncork the vial.

Moving into his space, cradling his face, Newt leans in, slotting their mouths together. Their lips are too dry and the angle is all wrong. They bumped too hard against each other and he is sure that one of them has a split lip. Graves does not push him away but it's a near thing.

"I didn't take you to be cruel, Newt Scamander, but this is heartless of you." He says coldly. Graves turns to run up the stairs, only to be halted by his wrist being gripped hard again.

Newt is tearful in the face of his anger. "Please Percival... Please, just listen. Please." He chokes on his words, tears welling up. "Percival, I'm going about this all wrong." Graves cannot bear to see him cry because of himself. He has a half thought comfort on his tongue when Newt speaks again, the words tumbling forth like a wonderful fount given life. "I gave what you said some thinking. When you asked me if I loved you. I do, Percival, I do. I really do. And I am a fool for thinking that I could not love you too. Because I do, and I am sorry that I made you believe I couldn't. Please Percival, I'm sorry. I am so, so sorry. I love you, I love you and I will work the rest of my life to make you see that I love y-"

Graves stoppers the fount with a kiss. Not that he could live without hearing that, but because his heart is bursting and half mad with joy. He drops the vial of Calming Draught on the rug, pressing their bodies together even as he ravages Newt's mouth. He lets his tongue penetrate him, map him, taste him before they have to break apart for air. "Is that how you kiss?" He hears panted against the corner of his smile.

"Have you never...?"

Newt's blush rises to the tips of his nose, creeping down under his collar. "Not until you."

Graves huffs a quiet laugh, tilting his head to steal gentler kisses from his husband. "Then, I will teach you."

Newt ducks his eyes for a moment. When he looks back into Graves' gaze, he asks with a half-lidded whisper, "And what about sex? Would that be on the curricular?"

Something happy and warm curls at the base of his belly. "I will teach that too. If you want."

Newt smiles, soft and happy. "I think we are definitely overdue on that front." He pulls away to shed his coat and hanging it with Graves'. When he returns to his side, Graves takes his hand, kissing his wedding ring. Together they climb the stairs together to Graves' room, extinguishing the lights at the close of the door.

Dark!Newt/Graves: Prisoner and Guard

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
A spin from another prison AU.

Bottom!Graves, Top!Newt

Auror Percival is ordered to guard one Newt Scamander until he is transferred to Azkaban prison. The man he sees is not what Percival expects; this shy and awkward man. Can this really be the same man that struck fear in the magical underworld? Unfortunately for Percival, Newt saw him too and likes what he sees.

> Newt does the innocent nice guy act well but deep down he's a sadistic nut job, even Grindelwald keeps him at a distance.
> Overtime, Newt slowly drops the awkward shy act and becomes bolder in his flirting and by the time Graves realizes it, its to late. He’s in love with Newt.

Real Graves is rescued and all but experiences some bad effects from his imprisonment at Grindelwald's hands (flashbacks are welcome) so Newt suggests a therapy creature. He chooses Lilac the Swooping Evil who restrained Grindelwald in the subway.

This helps immensely due to the subconscious safety Graves gets being protected by the very thing to capture the man who tortured him.

Bonus points for using Lilac in an interrogation and is just casually mentions how Lilac will eat a criminal's brain if he doesn't talk.

Optional therapy cats/kneazels kittens glaring down shady characters

Lilac of course is happy to help and very much enjoys scaring people

AU Queenie, Tina, Mind-reading sisters

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 11:48 am (UTC)(link)
So I was thinking about Queenie and Tina's characters and I realized that they would react/use their gift differently. Queenie pretends to be an airhead, right? She talks about her gift without tact, I guess? Well Tina s an auror, or she was, so I imagine that she has found other ways to use her gift to her advantage.
How does this change the movie?
How did this affect the events to begin with?

Newt/Tina/Graves - triangle turns into OT3, after much slow-burn

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 11:49 am (UTC)(link)
Post-movie, Tina waits for Newt. But in the meantime, she slowly grows closer to real!Graves after he is rescued. They are on the verge of striking up a real relationship when Newt comes back, and finds himself with a romantic rival.

Eventually, after the three of them are forced to work together to stop some threat or other, they work out a solution to the problem.

Bonuses:
- Tina is largely oblivious to how much Graves has come to care for her.
- Graves was never particularly open about his feelings, and Grindelwald left him with major trust issues. Being intimate with one person was hard enough, let alone two (and a man, at that).
- Queenie and Jacob in the background, being awesome and better at relationships than everyone.

SVU Crossover - Detective Graves from Special Victim Unit

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I was thinking about the aftermath of the Genophobic Newt story I’m writing which will involve Graves dealing with Newt as a rape victim, and it occurred to me maybe Graves is no stranger to dealing with rape victims, especially when magic is involved.

Cue SVU crossover!!

In the he Magical Congress of the United States of America, magical sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the dedicated aurors who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories. DUNDUN

Detective Graves is a member of the Special Victims Unit.

Bonus if Queenie is also a member, her ability to console victims legendary – but she only meets the victim when they are made aware of her abilities and consent is given. She probably would be more like Dr. Huang than a detective though.

The Case is up to you. There’s of course a lot of potential with Credence being an abused adolescent. Tina would be an passionate witness in a court scene.

Newt coming in to report a rape himself would be very interesting as well. He would probably be reluctant to talk about what happened to him, but for the sake of other people he wants the rapist off the street, and so they sort of team up despite Newt dealing with aftermath trauma.

Also bonus if you want to add in characters from SVU and make them witches/wizards.

Graves/Newt, Lichtenberg figure, h/c

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Newt didn't get away unscathed from the subway battle. The lightning he got hit with left marks all over his body. Not that he planned on bothering anyone by telling.

Good thing: His arms and face are unmarked, so it's easy to hide.
Bad thing: He is left with cardiac arrhythmia which makes itself known at the most unopportune moments. Being hit with cruciatus several times certainly didn't help either.
Embarrassing thing (well for Newt): Collapsing into real!Graves arms a few days after the battle. That's one sure way he didn't want to be found out. Even worse...Graves plans on telling his best friend - Theseus. Could things get any worse?

+ for Credence surviving and hero-worshipping Newt and Tina
++ for motherhenning from everyone. Newt the little cinnamon roll that he is, deserves so much love

I'd love to see some hurt/comfort because the way Grindelwald tortured Newt must have left at least some injuries.

Newt is intersexed-living as male despite ambiguous Genitalia and not "feeling" male

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Newt has ambiguous genitalia. He has a partially fused labia and an oddly sized cock or clit as well as no balls. His family raised him as male, but he never really enjoyed "masculine" pursuits.

He never really grew proper facial hair, and his voice only deepened because of a potions accident at Hogwarts. He doesn't really feel male, or female. He studies nature and saves animals as his calling in life because in nature there are nearly infinite variations... maybe just maybe, in animals, there is one that can help him better grasp who he himself is?

Any pairings welcomed, Autistic Spectrum Newt gleefully cherished, but mostly I want to explore Newt having to deal with his own body and the feeling of never quite meshing with the binary that is Human(and wizarding) society in the 1920s.

Newt/any, Newt likes to be feminine

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Crossdressing, roleplaying, casual things like offhandedly referring to himself as someone's "girlfriend", whatever. Sometimes Newt prefers to embody the feminine gender role. And his partner is super into it. I'm fine with any pairing, though I especially adore Newt with Tina, Credence or Jacob.

Grindelwald!Graves/Newt - Non-Con Captive Audience

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I know this has been done, during the interrogation scene... but I thought it would be interesting to have it done while Tina is helplessly forced to watch as while Newt is molested. Don't care how far Grindelwald!Graves takes it - could be all the way or stopping just short.

Queenie/any!male - pegging

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I would die for Queenie pegging someone...it can be anyone but I'm partial to Credence (but it's really up to the filler)
Bonus points if she's really gentle and keeps calling the guy "honey"

Graves/Newt, Newt undercover as a girl

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Newt is not unfamiliar with undercover work. To find and save beasts he has to use any resource possible.

Because his pretty features work extremely in his favor, he often uses the diguise as a girl to scout places. Since staying as close to the truth helps to not be caught up in a lie as easily, Newt usually goes by his second name Artemis.

Enter Graves who after getting anonymous tips on a trafficking ring (humans and beasts), stumbles upon Newt in disguise with his aurors and is immediately smitten with her. Newt mistakes him for Grindelwald at first and panicks (Let's say that he just came back from Britain and hasn't met the real Graves yet).

+ Queenie totally helped him dress appropriately.
++ Newt doesn't try to hide who he is from Graves and MACUSA. They are actually impressed by his resourcefulness.

I love this prompt. The image of Graves being jealous of Newt, because his Aurors like him *_*

Protective!Credence / possessive!Credence x Newt Scamander

[personal profile] missisjoker 2016-12-07 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Newt saw a wisp of the obscurial fly away at the scene, but he didn't see the said wisp following him onto the boat and sneaking into his pocket.
Credence doesn't know how to become corporeal again, and he is lost-so he stays with Newt without revealing himself, not sure what to do. He watches Newt from the shadows, learning magic in the process, reading books over Newts shoulder, and getting more and more jealous (that man is treating his animals better than mom has ever treated me or Modesty?) and possessive (because he is there when Newt is questioned about his involvement in obscurial case, and Newt does everything to protect Credence even though he doesn't know Credence is still alive).
At some point Newt realizes that Credence must be alive- and with him - because he feels the presence, he notices book pages turning on their own, Pickett being fussy, and food disappearing. But the last thing he wants to do is spook Credence again - so they slowly fall into a routine where Credence is still hiding but he knows Newt is aware of him.
Newt is trying to find the way to make Credence corporeal again, but nothing works, until one day...
Gridnewald escapes prison and seeks Newt out. They fight it out in an old London tunnel, Newt proving he is not a helpless snowflake and can duel just as good as any Auror, but still - he is no match for Grindewald and 5 of his accolytes. And when all seems to be lost, when Newt looks at Grindewald without fear, ready to accept his fate, the darkness behind him begins to swirl.
Newt watches in awe as Credence materializes out of the dark wisps- but he is not like Newt remembers- his hair is longer, he stands tall and straight and does not avert his eyes- and he looks very, VERY ANGRY.
Gridnewald practically drools at the sight, hellbent on seducing Credence to join "the dark side", but Credence just growls, "I don't think so" and
destroys everyone who threatened Newt with extreme prejudice. Grindewald manages to disapparate just in time to save himself from his head being ripped off.
Newt thanks Credence and tries to apologize for dragging him into this mess, but Credence just corners him into the brick wall and hisses, "I am not letting anyone hurt you EVER AGAIN".
He carries Newt back to their apartment and takes care of the wounds.
Newt, sorta high on medicinal herbs and adrenaline, can barely wrap his mind around Credence being corporeal, powerful as hell, and also very-very attractive.
Credence on the other hand is flustered because he finally got a chance to actually touch those 129 freckles on Newt's face he has counted so many times before. (there is another problem - now that he has finally touched them, he wants to taste them too...)

Graves/Newt or gen -- Graves was a wild child

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I want Percival with a Past

Like full on Sirius Black-style hated his family, drank, smoked, partied, dated no-majs in full defiance of the statue of secrecy, probably protested for no-maj marriage rights and a bunch of other causes, got arrested on the regular, and was generally An Embarrassment to all the other Graves' and did not give even one fuck.

So how did he go from that into the stern upholder of the law he is today? Was there some version of a come to Jesus moment, where he saw something that made him jaded and bitter? Did his father beat the rebel out of him and force him into the aurors to straighten him out? Was there some kind of a near-death incident? All of the above?

Mostly I'm looking for some kind of thing where Newt (and friends) learn this about Percival. Newt (and friends) complaining yet again about how strict Percival is and someone going 'oh but you should have seen him at school.' And no one believing them until Percival's like 'everything was wiped from my permanent record when I turned 18 but I suppose it's not technically a secret...I behaved very stupidly and I regret it.'

(whether he actually does or whether that's just what he's supposed to say and VERY deep down he misses it is up to u)

And, you know, MAYBE some kind of thing where Newt helps Percival remember some of the optimism about the world he used to have. And kisses him a lot. Would also be cute.

Bonus for some kind of photographic evidence, of Percy looking like whatever the early 1900s equivalent of punk-rock would've been.

Bonus BONUS for Percy covered in tattoos, both magical and nonmagical, and Newt finding them ridiculously attractive.

Newt's freckles drive everyone mad

[personal profile] missisjoker 2016-12-07 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Like the title says- everyone obsessing (secretly or openly) over Newt's freckles, and Newt being adorably oblivious to everyone's frustrations.

Additional kudos if you add eyelash obsession as well.

Newt is seen as ultra powerful. Mr. Black style shenanigans. Actually Mr. Magoo.

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, Newt is competent in his field, animals, but a bit focused. He picks up spells and tricks. Like in NYC it turns out very useful. Except it keeps happening. Every place he goes. And when it's awkwardly heroic, he uses a glamor gives his BROTHERS name.

His Brother is happily married to a fine muggle lady in Aberdeen. He's never fought in the war. All of the great battles?

Newt just wanted to get some magical creature out safely.

After everyone meets at the big international confrence in the movie the various governments start talking and they piece it together.

Everyone now thinks Newt is this ultra powerful wizard... meanwhile he just wants to get his albino ashwinder home in one piece.

Please, humorous shenanigans of misinterpretation and comedy of errors making him look wicked powerful a must.

Credence/Graves choking, dub con

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
In the heat of the moment, Graves starts choking Credence while they are fucking. Credence tries to pull away at first, because he is not used to the feeling, but that only makes Graves use more pressure. Even though Credence is uncomfortable, Graves keeps fucking him until he comes.

any/any slang

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
For a film set in the 1920s there has been a dear shortage of 1920s slang.

Gimme Queenie asking Jacob to 'butt me', Tina excusing herself to 'iron her shoelaces', Newt admitting he's a heeler, Graves acting as a fire extinguisher, Creedence solemnly telling Modesty 'don't take any wooden nickles'.

C'mon there's so much ridiculousness.

Undercover!Newt/any. Newt makes a very pretty girl.

(Anonymous) 2016-12-07 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
For one reason or another, Newt has to pretend to be a girl. Tina/Jacob/Credence/Graves/anybody is extremely impressed by how freaking pretty he is.
