After he is freed from wherever Grindelwald imprisoned him, Percival is barely holding himself together. People at work are scared or suspicious of him. Some are even calling him a traitor or weak for getting captured. Percival just bares it all and works. One night while he's alone in his apartment drinking himself to oblivion, a monstrous force suddenly appears and starts attacking him. Percival tries to fight but then he recognizes who it is amidst the swirling magic, Credence in full rage. Percival stops fighting and allows himself to be tossed about and brutalized. Credence doesn't know about Grindelwald and takes it out on Percival. Just when Credence is about to finish Percival, Newt appears looking nothing like the timid wizard everyone thinks he is. Instead he expertly subdues Credence and explains everything to Credence who is left devastated and tends to Percival, saving him from the brink of death. After that Newt whisks both men away, claiming them as his and beginning the long and slow road to recovery and reconciliation.

Graves!wald gets Creedence drunk on the infamous cutscene dinner; partly to show the contempt in which he holds muggle laws, and partly to see if the boy will relax enough to reveal anything new about the obscurial. Creedence doesn't, but seeing him, flushed and touch-starved, it occurs to Graves there are other ways to win the boy's confidence and admiration...

So let's say that Newt has one last night before his ship leaves and spends it in the Goldstein sisters' flat. And it's been a long few days. He's so tired. He's feeling guilty as hell over being unable to save Credence, he misses Frank already, he misses Jacob who was one of the first real friends he'd made in who knows how long... basically he ends up crying himself to sleep and it's not any better once he does, because he starts having nightmares about Credence's death and being tortured by Grindelwald and losing his creatures and all the terrible things that could have happened, or did happen.

Tina's already asleep but Queenie senses his distress from the other room and goes in to comfort him, basically just hugging him and sympathizing and letting him cry it out. Newt is used to facing nights like this on his own, and doesn't always find it easy to express his feelings to other humans, so it's a huge relief to have someone there who cares about him and can understand what he's going through without him having to explain it. It's also 100% platonic, no sexual or romantic overtones.

When Graves is freed he is put on medical leave with Tina taking over his post temporarily. After trying to worm his way into a few too many investigations, Tina drags him along for dinner. Somehow this becomes a daily thing and Graves adopts Tina and Queenie as his little sisters.

I would love to see Graves asking Jacob what his intentions are towards Queenie or denying chaperoning Tina and Newt by claiming he is keeping an eye on Newt's case.

Or maybe even standing nearby and looking intimidating whenever someone at work is flirting with his 'sisters'.

Exactly what it says. Newt isn't very good in bed and he's so excited that someone wants to have sex with him that he comes early. It's awkward and disappointing.

Graves is glad when MACUSA finally rescues him, he really is. He knows Grindelwald is evil and Graves stands against everything the other wizard stands for. But he'd be lying if a part of him didn't miss the hands sliding down his body every night and the soft voice crooning praises in hi ear every time Graves didn't fight back.

When Grindelwald escapes, Graves is equal parts hurt that he left without stopping by to see him and frightened that his former captor will return.

In other words, Graves developed partial Stockholm syndrome and, even though he tries to fight it, it's hard to throw off.

When Credence doesn't show up for their meeting, Grindelwald is annoyed. Then he finds the boy curled up in a ball in the snow, no shoes or coat, nearly unconscious from hypothermia because Mary Lou Barebones considers making him sleep outside in the middle of winter a fitting punishment for not handing out enough leaflets.
Against his better judgement, Grindelwald takes him back to his own home to warm him up.

I love all the fluff and stuff going around about Credence and Newt, but I also love me some bottom!Newt.

I think that after being manipulated for so long Credence might just want to be in control for once, and while he is /not/ manipulative or hateful I'd kind of like him to be /in charge/. Newt is very fine with this.

Percival is back at work and also in a relationship with Newt and a slowly recovering Credence. Percival is super protective of Newt, Credence, and even the creatures, especially the Niffler who surprisingly only steals cuddles from Percival and not his expensive items like his watches or cuff links. What no one knows is that someone in the magical congress wants Percival out of the way, maybe for his job, maybe because they think that he's incompetent after the Grindelwald debacle, or they want Newt and Credence for themselves. Either way this person decides to slowly poison Percival, like spiking his coffee or lacing reports. Percival starts to feel ill but looks completely normal, so Credence and Newt don't suspect anything. However the creatures start to notice whenever Percival interacts with them. They start to act strange and frantic whenever they are around Percival. One day while feeding the creatures with Newt and Credence, Percival finally collapses and he's at deaths door. Credence and Newt are beside themselves but luckily Newt remembers one of his creatures who can help. The creature comes through and Percival is saved, but now they have to figure out who did this to Percival. Lord help that person when Credence and Newt get their hands on them.

I've seen a few fics where Credence, still an obscurial, uses his dark powers to protect Newt. They're all amazing and you should read them immediately.

That said, I'd love to see a similar scenario with Credence protecting Graves -- some wizard that he's arrested comes back for revenge while Graves, Credence, and Newt are out together. Graves, the badass Auror that he is, takes the brunt of the damage until Credence just snaps and takes care of their attacker. Then, it's up to Newt and Graves to talk him back down.

Percival/Credence/Newt: Percival wins Credence and Newt's trust by protecting the magical creatures

Percival is slowly putting his life back together and find some self intrigued by Knute and his case of magical creatures when the young wizard returns to America. He's even more surprised when he finds out that very much alive Creedence is with him. The two younger men are wary of him but Percival wants them both. So when inevitably some of Newt's fantastic creatures get loose instead of hunting all of them down Percival shows a gentle side of himself and protects the creatures and brings them back to Newt. Newt and Credence both fall for Percival when he dies something very sweet, like give the Niffler something shiny or calm a scared creature down. They go from there with all the ups and downs of a relationship.

Percival/Credence/Newt: unwanted husband Percival

AU where Credence is a trained wizard but still grew up treated badly by his family. Percival Graves is the top auror and Director of Magical security. He is content to be a bachelor the rest of his life but due to some ancient law he has to take on not one but two spouses. He is less than thrilled until he meets his intended spouses, one Credence Barebone and the other Newton Scamander. Percival is instantly enthralled, something in his very soul and magic calling out for them. The same cannot be said for Credence and Newt. Credence is terrified of Percival, believing his family's lies that Percival will treat him like dirt. Newt is quietly enraged believing that Percival is marrying him because Newt's family want to be rid of their embarrassing youngest son and that Percival will make him stop his creature studying. The marriage happens but Percival is deeply hurt when both Newt and Credence make it clear they want nothing to do with him. His every gruff attempt to get close is rebuffed. Percival doesn't want to give up but there is just so much rejection a man can take. It takes an epic disaster with Percival nearly sacrificing his life for his husband to get them to realize how wrong they were about him. Cue massive amounts of angsty hurt Percival and guilty Newt and Credence with the magical creatures thrown into the mix.

Bakery or Coffee Shop AU

COME ON PEOPLE, LET'S DO THIS THING!

Some suggestions:

Jacob owns the coffee shop, obviously. Queenie is a regular. They are Totally Smitten with each other and everyone else realises it except them.

Credence probably has a part-time job at the coffee shop and it's the only escape from his conservative household. Jacob has a soft spot for him and gives him free lunches and breakfasts and tries to help as much as he can.

(Bonus points: Queenie & Jacob adopt Credence.)

Newt owns the pet-store next door. At night, he's probably like an animal welfare burglar. Breaks into rich people's homes and steals their exotic pets (eg. tigers, lions, tropical parrots) and takes them back to his underground subway zoo and rehabilitates them so they can be released into their natural habitats.

Graves is a cop/detective. Tina has recently been demoted to like, parking tickets or something, and needs more coffee.

Graves/Newt (or Grindelwald/Newt?) - Viewfinder!AU, mob!AU

IDK how many of you are familiar with the Viewfinder manga, so here's a quick summary of it. Basically a young photographer tries to catch a wealthy business man (and suspected but unproven yakuza) in a shady business deal. The yakuza catches him at it and decides that he likes the photographer's spirit, so he starts up a very dub-con-y relationship with him. As one does.

The yakuza eventually becomes attached to the photographer for more than just his body, and moves the photographer in with him and assigns him a few guards (tbh, I'm not sure if that's actually canon or just a fan theory from fanfic). The photographer spends a lot of his time getting into trouble, likely because he intentionally loses his guards most of the time.

SO ON TO ACTUAL PROMPT. I'd love to see a crime boss / mafioso!Graves in a relationship with a animal rights activist!Newt (or something to that extent), who spends most of his time getting into trouble because he keeps trying to rescue the exotic animals on the black market.

Exasperated!Tina is in charge of Newt Duty, i.e., making sure Newt doesn't get killed, kidnapped, or beaten up. Her job would be a lot easier if Newt didn't magically disappear every 10 minutes. Also, it would help a LOT if Newt would remove himself from the general vicinity of 200 lb animals with claws the size of his head, thank you very much.

Newt doesn't really understand why everyone is suddenly so determined to tell him what to do, but like hell he's going to sit at home and make dinner for his mob boss lover (last time he tried he burned half the apartment down, so really it's for everyone's benefit that he not stay at home). He really doesn't get into that much trouble, honest!

Graves, meanwhile, gets a kick out of his lover's spirit. Up until his lover gets hurt. Then all hell breaks loose and Graves reminds everyone why he's the most feared mafia lord in America.

Grindewald manages to get Credence to stay with him. He slowly poisons young man's mind and soul as his master.

Knowing Credence' fondness for "his old face", evil wizard gives Graves to Credence as a plaything till he won't be back from some of his meetings.

Credence doesn't find his new gift that amusing. His pet is dirty, hungry and still has enough fight in him to ignore Credence most of the time. But he is also real mr Graves - beautiful and noble. He is touch starved and half mad from loneliness and Credence knows how it is when all you want is another person to touch you.

With time Percival gets more and more attached to Credence even if he knows that Credence still serves Grindewald. Nevertheless their relationship changes into something they did not expected...until Grindewald comes back and is not happy about they way Credence treated Graves (no tortures, a lot of feelings/sexing).
