Seeing as we've reached 4,000 comments in Round 1, it's time to make a new one. Same (lack of) rules apply. Gentle reminder to everyone to refrain from posting extremely long prompts, though. While no word limit will be imposed, take note that it is very unlikely for someone to fulfill your prompt if your prompt alone is already several paragraphs long and containing a number of specifications.

Graves/Newt - They start out hating each other

There are plenty of amazing fics wherein Newt and Graves meet each other for the first time after Newt helps save Graves post-movie, and they get along splendidly.

I think it would be cool to read something where Graves is a pompous, animal-despising, condescending jerk who hates the fact that an annoying weirdo like Newt helped orchestrate his rescue. Graves treats Newt like shit and Newt tries to avoid Graves as much as possible (and almost regrets saving him).

Naturally they still hook up at the end!

He thought he'd never love anyone else after Albus but this proud, prickly, witty, intelligent, and powerful Auror he kidnapped somehow wormed his way under his skin. Inconvenient.

May have a happy ending (Grindelwald gets a redemption or Graves turns darkside) or not but in any case I'd like for Graves to survive <3

Original Graves and Tina are doing something Auror-y when one of them (don't mind which) gets seriously injured. They are isolated and can't get help, so the other tends to the injury, and maybe there's some slightly inappropriate noticing of bodies or faces too close together or something leading to UST, which they have to deal with for a few days until they can go home.

+ if one of them has an embarrassingly vivid fantasy
++ if the unresolved sexual tension does in fact get resolved

Years ago Newt & Graves had a summer romance. However, a jealous Theseus worked to split them apart. Years later, it helps Newt figure out that Graves isn't himself.

The summer romance could be pre-expulsion (with the fall out leading to Newt just not caring) or post-expulsion with Graves knowing the entire story.

Cue the movie in which Graves just doesn't react as Newt expects him to.

Bonus: Newt figured out that Theseus was also in love/lust with Graves and wonders if he interferred before he arrives in NY.

Newt and real!Percival are in an arranged marriage as both their families thought it best for them (Newt because of the expulsion, beasts, etc and Percival because he just won't settle down or whatever).

However, their families didn't expect that they'd just both go their way and only meet up for the required time and contract stipulations. Both are perfectly fine with this and are rather glad the other doesn't demand more (they never actually talked about it, they just do their thing and think "If he's got something against it, he should say something!")

Then the movie happens and Newt knows something is up, after all - indifferent towards each other or not - Percival wouldn't sentence him to death just like that.

Will they finally talk about their marriage once real!Percival is found?

Sometimes Newt's animals come into the bedroom while he's getting fucked. His partner is weirded out at first, but Newt sees it as totally natural - after all, animals mate in front of each other all the time. Sometimes they even climb on the bed to look for attention or cuddle up to Newt, who doesn't mind no matter how filthy the situation is. I'm talking Niffler going through his coat pockets while he's getting pounded from behind, or baby occamies napping against his chest while he's getting eaten out... could work well as a 5+1.

Jacob's a trans guy who has it about as good as it gets in the '20s; his family all calls him by his real name and supports him, and while he's dressed he passes well enough. But because of it, he hasn't had many intimate relationships and knows that he might not quite be what they're expecting.

Now he's in a relationship with Queenie or Newt (or Queenie and Newt? :P) and he's a little worried how they might react; like, does Queenie know already thanks to her mind-reading skills? Is this the sort of thing Newt would even notice? I'd love it if it's totally normal in the wizarding world, and Jacob's lover reassures him with lots of appreciative touching and/or sex.

Have we had wedding shenanigans yet?:) If not, knock yourself out. Canon setting or AUs are both fine.

Potential ideas:
- Misunderstanding over one of them being already married
- Putting Newt in a suit
- Best Man Theseus gives an unforgettable speech
- Grindelwald considers he was the matchmaker here and plays wedding planner or crashes the wedding disguised
- Due to a series of unfortunate incidents they end up getting married at the Whistling Pig instead of the posh venue their families had chosen
- Busman's Honeymoon AU - i.e., the wedding described via letters, diaries, society columns in newspapers, MACUSA memos, etc.
- the Creatures have no idea what the fuss is all about but enjoy themselves tremendously
- casefic + wedding - they have to solve the case/save the day AND show up on time before the Registrar/Picquery/whoever marries American wizards

As it turns out, Graves is Credence's actual father. He takes him in and tries to make up for all those awful, lost years. Graves/Credence or not, writers' choice (I'm definitely not opposed!), bonus points for touch starved credence and Graves petting Credence's hair, super bonus points for pet names and (at least somewhat consensual) spanking!

Due to something that happened due to the whole Grindelwald mess, Credence is now a werewolf. Luckily, the first time he shifted he was living with Newt, who was able to contain the situation peacefully. A few months pass and there's a problem: Credence's rut is coming up, and even Newt has trouble containing a werewolf in rut without a partner.

There's a lot of discussion about it but eventually, everyone decides to basically put shifting!Credence in a room with chained-up Grindelwald. After all, it's his fault. (They give Credence a potion so his bites won't have the infectious properties)

Graves and Grindelwald didn't have a sexual relationship while Graves was captive (consensual or not). However, some MACUSA employees definitely ship them and begin writing real-people fanfics about them. Grindelwald finds some and is not happy about it. So, of course, he goes to Graves to help him put a stop to it.

Bonus if both have a wide-range of reactions. Some fics might be laughably out of character. Others might deal with rape. So neither is exactly happy about people fantasizing about them in noncon situations, but maybe if Grindelwald is overly nice in one they can't help but laugh because that's definitely not what happened.

Flash forward to post-movie, Grindelwald is growing in power and realizes that, if he dies, all his hard work will be undone! He needs an heir! So he adopts a baby. Only, he's much too busy to raise him/her. So Grindelwald decides to drop said baby off at Graves's apartment, because if he has to have a soulmate, at least said mate can make himself useful.

Graves isn't amused and has no idea what to do. Does he take the baby to an orphanage? Raise him/her? Give him/her to someone at work? Next time Grindelwald turns up to check in, Graves is ready with a tirade.

Graves/Newt, Credence, Dads

Credence can be their adopted child or Graves is his bio dads and Newt is his stepdad, etc. Whether it uses canon setting, AR, or AU it's up to the filler. As long as Credence is raised by two loving fathers and he's happy.

Graves is an exasperated human being (or is he?) who, somehow, finds himself accompanying Newt on his travels throughout the universe.
