Seeing as we've reached 4,000 comments in Round 1, it's time to make a new one. Same (lack of) rules apply. Gentle reminder to everyone to refrain from posting extremely long prompts, though. While no word limit will be imposed, take note that it is very unlikely for someone to fulfill your prompt if your prompt alone is already several paragraphs long and containing a number of specifications.

Graves/Newt, The creatures help Newt to Graves' courtship

Percival Graves is the eldest son of the Graves family, he has many grounds and a huge mansion with a large open space where a nundu, an erumpent and a group of graphorn can live with total tranquility, food and space to make their burrows without fear To be hunted to be under the shields of the family of auror.

He inherited a large collection of cups and teapots from a great-aunt who adored him and which he kept on display in a special hall, an amusement park for a group of occamys babies.

He is not distracted but maybe he will not be so aware of where he leaves coins, some pocket watch, spoons or forks and if some naughty niffler takes those things he would not even notice.

It has a very beautiful greenhouse, which it uses to have some exotic plants for potions you need at work, an incredible place to explore for a group of bowtruckles, even if they are shy like Pickett.

Its huge house has quiet high-ceilinged corridors that an evil swooping can use to plan and sometimes some naive magician could think of going home and ending up being food of that creature.

Sometimes Graves forgets that he has to eat or take care of himself and if a careful demiguise takes care of him it is something that he can thank with pampering.

In the end all the creatures meet and discuss to find a way for Newt to get into Graves' pants because if they want to have a good daddy they will have to help mommy to get it or as the creatures of Newt try to help him woo Graves .

Graves is very handsome, beautiful and elegant, it is not uncommon for someone to try to courtship him, Graves simply responds in a kind but cold way, is not interested because he has a healthy relationship with his beloved Newt but there is always some insistent suitor who will not give up So easily, maybe some important magician and Graves can not be too abrupt with him by protocol, it's Newt's turn to assert his place as Graves' partner (maybe his very jealousy pushes him, maybe Tina tells him to be A man and defend his boyfriend) the problem is that Newt, although dying of jealousy does not know how to make himself heard so he resorted to imitate his creatures and tries to intimidate the intruder with male dances, Graves does not know if to be offended or Softened

Crack, Credence uses inappropriate spells

So after the events of the film Newt and Graves (who are a couple now) took in/adopted Credence and they mentored him until he could go to Ilvermorny for a proper education. When he was at home, Credence was eager to learn everything, every spell he saw, including 1000 Magical Tricks Every Household Needs or Dinner in 15: Comprehensive Cooking Spells for Busy Nights and just random stuff he dug out of Graves' library. One day some Grindelwald supporters sneaked up on him while Newt and Graves were out but Credence only had the random stuff he learned to protect himself so in his desperation he cast a spell like one that makes the spoon stir the soup but because of his deep deep magical potential it actually worked and Newt and Graves rushed home to find two dark wizards spinning in their living room.

I'm partial to Graves/Newt but gen with one of them caring for Credence is also ok. Just give me domestic fluff (please) and super smart and talented Credence using misfitting spells to hilarious results. A 5+1 with more of these would be fantastic! Maybe the 1 is when he used all the (somewhat considered) right spells and pass the auror exam with the highest score.

Bonus: Newt was usually the cook. Graves bought those books to impress Newt on date night but he was so bad at it he just stashed them in the library somewhere so Newt was like ha you topped all your classes in school but you can't even make soup and you tell me Ilvermorny is the best in the world?

I feel like I posted this in the morning but I can't find that post now. If you've seen this somewhere please let me know because I'm a confused puffskein right now.

Graves/Tina + Credence - how to please a woman

After the whole Grindalwald thing Credence miraculously survives and Graves takes him under his wing. Along with teaching Credence magic, Graves decides Credence should also get a thorough education on how to please the fairer sex. The obvious choice of woman to help Graves accomplish this is someone Credence likes and trusts aka a bewildered and probably very flustered, but secretly very eager Tina.

Credence can get involved for a hands on demonstration, or sit back and take it all in. I wouldn't mind any Graves/Credence overtones or a happy threesome either.

Newt + Graves, Comfort until help arrives

Post-movie search parties go out to find the real Graves. Somehow Newt ends up being the one to find him-- badly tortured, bleeding, starving, just barely hanging on to life-- and because of Reasons™ they can't apparate to a hospital and help can't apparate to them.

So Newt has to sit and comfort/reassure Graves while help arrives the no-maj way.

Bonus points for Newt cradling Graves in his arms and maybe even petting his hair a bit (hey, it helps calm some injured creatures, so it should work on humans, right?).

Aristocratic Graves/Servant Newt

After the death of their father, the Scamander boys set off to look for jobs to pay bills. Newt gets a job oversees in America, as a a servant to one of the most powerful families in New York.

Newts experience with animals immediately places him in caring for his employers horses. As for his employer himself, he never met the man (not that it bothered him).

Newt meets a man outside the stables by accident one day. The man asks Newt to call him Percy and soon a beautiful friendship blooms. They go form meeting once a week at the stables to everyday and Newt begins to feel something for his riend.

When Newt discovers the truth about Percy… he is embarrassed, shocked, upset, then even more embarrassed. Percy… short for Percival… Percival Graves. The name of his employer and master of the mansion… Why didn’t he make the connection?!

Newt at first rationalizes to himself why they can’t be together (as much as it hurts him). So he avoids Percival like the plaque and unfortunately for him, Percival does not like being ignored. Since Percival is master of the house… he can control where all his servants are, that includes Newt.

Things get worse when Percival's ‘fiancé’ Leta and her creepy uncle Grindelwald decide to visit for a month. Why is Newt’s life like this?

I'd love some BAMF Graves combined with some Graves out of his comfort zone. Let's say that Grindelwald sends him to some distant inhospitable place (like a jungle/desert/Siberia). Now wandless and probably injured Graves has to rely on his wits and bit of wandless magic to get back to civilization.

And if he meets some magical creatures and maybe even certain travelling magizoologist, well anything can happen.

so for whatever reason (magical animal attack, normal animal attack, dark wizrd attack, tragic accident, etc) Newt and another person are left somewhere remote with assistance being quite a ways away. And to make matters worse, Person A is seriously injured- how badly is up to you!- and Newt, having next to no experience with Gored Up Humans(tm), panics and resorts to treating them the same way he would one of his creatures-- talking very softly to them and being very gentle and soothing.
and it works!!

+ I'd prefer it very much if the person in question was either Tina, Jacob or Queenie, as opposed to anyone else, and if you could keep it gen. but i guess i can't stop you if you take it a different direction :/

Hey OP,
I wrote something for you, hope you like it! I tried to do the non-sexual hypnosis thing, though that's probably not quite what you had in mind, haha.
(Queenie's injuries are meant to be rather serious, but they aren't explicitly described, so personally I don't feel a warning is necessary)



The building came apart around them with a terrible sound, like a giant’s groan, or a landfall, or- Queenie didn’t know, and honestly, it’s not like she had ever met a giant or witnessed a landfall, so those similes probably weren’t her own. It was tricky, trickier even than usual, to try and separate her thoughts from others’, when she was desperately trying not to be flattened under the falling debris.

Floorboards screeched and gave way under her feet. What little focus Queenie managed to scrounge up together in order to maintain her Protego faltered, and the shimmering shield around her disappeared with a little popping sound, utterly lost in the cacophony of collapsing building. She fell through the floor; a large segment of the ceiling followed, and-

She had lost some time, Queenie thought, when she came back to her senses. Her back hurt, something unbearably sharp was digging under her left shoulder blade, her neck was bent at a painful angle, her legs… She couldn’t feel her legs, couldn’t feel anything below waist at all, and-

panic fear where is she it all happened so quickly he had to find her had to find her is she alright is she alright what if she isn’t

Queenie clenched her teeth and willed her mind to order.

“Newt,” she croaked, painfully, through dust-filled throat. “Newt.”

“Queenie? Oh, Queenie, thank Merlin, you’re alive, I managed to take cover under a sturdier section of that wall but I lost sight of you, I thought you- Oh. Oh, dear. Queenie.”

“What is it?” She hissed, tried to raise her head enough to take a look herself, but everything hurt so much. She caught a briefest glimpse in Newt’s mind – so much blood twisted so terribly oh no oh no – before the man wrenched his thoughts away from it with surprising skill. What she did see left her cold all over, and shaking uncontrollably.

“Queenie, dear…” Newt put his hand on her hair, stroked it uncertainly. “I sent a Patronus to Tina. Help will be here shortly, you’ll be alright, I promise – everything will be fine.”

“You can’t promise that,” she muttered shakily. She glimpsed several images in Newt’s mind, some older, some newer, all of them a little heartbreaking – a chained Thunderbird, an Occamy crying over a robbed nest, a wounded Demiguise, a dying Graphorn…

And now, she.

“I’m going to die, aren’t I? I’m totally going to die,” Queenie was barely aware of speaking aloud. “Dammit, there was so much more stuff I wanted to do. What a terrible time to die. Can you please tell Jacob I love him very much? He doesn’t even remember me, but I still- I love him so much- And Teenie, tell her to-“

“Queenie. Sh-h-h.” Newt resumed stroking her hair, his movements much more certain this time. “You are not going to die. We will get you out of here, mediwizards will help you get better, and you will tell Jacob and Tina everything you want them to know yourself. You will be fine. And of course Jacob remembers you – you come by his bakery almost every day, you’re his favorite customer by now. He may not remember everything, but he certainly remembers you.”

Queenie gave a little watery chuckle. It sparked sudden burst of pain somewhere in her ribcage, and she whimpered. She really, really didn’t want to day today. Panic was building inside of her, steady and inevitable.

“Dear… Oh, dear Queenie.” She heard Newt shuffle even closer, put one hand on her shoulder while still keeping the other on her hair. “Can you try to concentrate on my thoughts, please? Don’t think about anything else. Just read my mind.”

She did that, grateful for the distraction. She reached out, touched Newt’s consciousness with her own, more firmly than she usually did, and-

There was grass under her feet, and cool breeze on her shoulders, and an endless, summer-washed field around her.

Queenie blinked, and took a deep breath. The air smelled sweetly of grass, and flowers, and something vaguely animalistic she couldn’t readily identify.

“Oh, wow,” she said aloud. Turning around, she saw Newt standing next to her, smiling bashfully. “That’s… You can replay your memories in so much detail without a Pensieve? That’s, that’s really very impressive. Like, really!” She could make out the finest texture on the grass and on Newt’s coat – a different one from his usual blue one. “How are you doing it?”

“Ah…” Newt rubbed his neck shyly. “I think I’m… Occluding, but with your mind inside the Occlumency shield rather than on the outside? Something like that, anyway. But I’m doing it very carefully, you are most definitely not trapped here – you can return any time you feel like. Um. I hope that’s alright? I didn’t know how else to help you.”

“Huh. Yeah, I guess that makes sense… And, I most definitely don’t mind. This place is much nicer to wait for help to arrive.” Queenie shuddered slightly. Away from the pain, she could think clearly again, and the distraction was most definitely very welcome. She really, really didn’t want to die, but panicking won’t help her at all. “What is this place, anyway?”

“This is my mother’s Hippogriff farm. I haven’t visited for a couple of years now, it has probably changed quite a bit,” Newt commented, looking wistful, before shaking his head and giving Queenie a bright smile. “Do you want to come meet the Hippogriffs? They’re very friendly, you’ll love them, I’m sure.”

“I’m sure I will,” Queenie agreed. As they walked, a thought occurred to her. “Hey, you must be really good at Occlumency to manage something like that. But I never had any trouble reading your thoughts – um, that is, I mean, I do try not to invade your privacy and all that, but it’s not always easy for me. And I’m pretty sure I never felt any shields on your mind before. How come?”

“Ah, well.” Newt shrugged, looking a bit awkward. “I could put up some shields, but they’re always such a hassle to maintain, and anyway, you must be used to knowing all sort of embarrassing things about everyone, right? And I don’t really have anything to hide from you, we’re friends, after all, aren’t we?”

They were approaching a herd of magnificent winged beasts, and Queenie smiled softly.

“Yeah. We are.”

Animal!Legilimens!Newt

Newt can communicate telepathically (or telempathically) with all nonhuman creatures - he's a veritable Doctor Doolittle. Thus the job. It's a very, very rare gift - far rarer than Parseltongue.

Queenie would be an empath (Betazoid?)), Jacob prolly the ship's cook or else barkeep, Tina maybe Number One, Graves Head of Security...

I'm just spitballing, y'all. I don't care. Maybe Newt's a scrappy little xenobiologist and Grayv's is a Vulcan officer who goes into Pon Far while they're trapped together in a shuttle? Maybe Queenie is, like a good normal Betazoid girl, buck naked in the privacy of her apartments and Jacob stumbles across her by accident?

Racebending AU

So there was a lot to like about the movie, but, NGL, it was whiter than a mayo sandwich on a porcelain plate full of rice. And, charming as Redmayne is, I still would INFINITELY rather have seen a Black British Newt (maybe Nathan Stewart Jarret), both because REPRESENTATION MATTERS GODDAMMIT and because it would just have made for much richer and more interesting storytelling - especially with segregation being one of the movie's themes.

So: go crazy, Nonny. How would Newt's experiences have been different in Muggle New York if he were black?

Or, best of all, racebend the whole damn movie, so Picquery is the only white character outside of the Wizengamot.

Or anywhere in between - maybe Jacob's from Mumbai? Maybe the Goldstein sisters are Korean? IDK, Nonny, just for the love of God, give me some melanin. Gen, het, slash, whatevs.

Graves/Newt - Graves family disowning Percival

So let's assume that Newt is a half-blood wizard. Graves comes from a long line of purebloods. Newt and Graves get together and the Graves family does not approve. Percival is suppose to marry someone respectable and carry on the family name and this magizoologist he is fooling around with is none of those things. So they make him choose between his family or Newt.

He chooses Newt.

Bonus for someone running into Percival and Newt months/years later and they are still happy and in love.

Nothing is really off limits for a fill. If you want to add mpreg that's fine. I think it would be great is someone ran into Percival and Newt and they had a kid or two.

Tl;dr - The Graves family makes Percival choose between them and Newt. Percival chooses Newt.

Graves is fired by the MACUSA for the whole Grindelwald or he quits himself out of disillusionment (they didn't notice he was replaced after all). What does he do with his life afterwards? Does he get drunk in the nearest bar? Does he open his own shop? Does he give self-defense lesson to certain trouble-atrracting magizoologist? Possibilities are endless.

I'd love to see a ladyhawke AU set in the Fantastic Beasts universe. Maybe Percival and Newt fell in love after Newt and Tina found and saved him. Grindelwald who has grown obsessed with Newt doesn't approve. Maybe he keeps Newt in a cage during daytime before he can escape.

Only two things I'm asking is that the "Isabeau gets accidentally shot scene" is kept because I love angst and hurt/comfort and that Tina, Queenie and Jacob play a huge role in Newt's life.

Graves/Newt, Once bitten twice shy

Newt's dislike to looking someone in the eye and his aversion to human touch (that is not part of his family) is the result of someone playing an ugly prank on him when he was little. It's also the main reason that Theseus Scamander is a huge momma bear concerning all matters related to Newt.

After Graves is found and healed, he gets to know Newt a little better and falls in love. He quickly realises that Newt has been hurt in the past even without the constant messages from Theseus that hell is going to rain down on anyone in MACUSA even looking the wrong way at Newt.

I want to see Percival slowly gaining Newt's trust, then becoming part of his family and after months of careful wooing finally having his personal happy end.

Bonus: Newt has been in love with Graves for years hearing tales from his brother. The incident with Grindelwald was a huge blow to his ego until he realised that it wasn't Graves. Still he's too shy to make any first move towards the real Graves that is more than friendship.

I thought about Newt occasionally having sung at embassy dinners or balls in the past, always under the watchful eyes of his family because he gets embarrassed easily.

So he's forced to attend a formal diplomatic dinner after the Grindelwald incident as part of the british ministry together with his brother who is the british equivalent of Percival Graves. For whatever reason the main soloist doesn't arrive in time and Newt takes pity on the panicked musicians and offers to take over if he is allowed to do it in disguise.

The audience is smitten. Percival realised that the angel singing is the one that rescued him from Grindelwals (Think Eric and Arielle).

Fuck Grindelwald to use the dinner to launch an attack.

Graves is traumatized by the time he spent as Grindelwald's captive. He stole his face, and now he can't look at himself without seeing Grindelwald staring back. People now flinch when they see him or they look away. And what's worse, people expect he will just bounce back to being unflappable gruff Mr Graves and clean up the massive mess Grindelwald left behind. One day, when he is feeling particularly low, he grabs a knife or a razor and cuts up his face badly. That's how one of his co-workers finds him. After that they finally get Graves some help.

I would like someone from MACUSA (Picquery, Tina, a random auror or even Abernathy) to find Graves like that, but if you want it to be Newt or Credence, it's up to you.
